Found this while trolling YouTube. Fun to see how clean these were when they first hit the streets/trails.

great video of the new at the time 1993. They say sticker was 40,000. In 1993 dollars that was very pricey. Taking inflation into account the current 200 series is priced at the same price point.

It is funny to call a Range Rover and ZJ Grand Cherokee the competition that the LC has to look out for. Back in the 90s that was absolutely true. Now, almost all the of the ZJs and Range Rovers have ended up in the junk yard. If you see one for sale... you naturally expect a lot of work just to get it to drive... must less be dependable.

This was a fun look back in time.

From Jeremy Clarkson concerning the Toyota 80 series,
"No matter how much it pretends to be a Jaguar, it's abilities are more in line with those of a tractor."

And that's why I love it. LOL

I think it's funny how they all keep talking about how VERY LARGE the Land Cruiser is. Today it's a mid-size SUV at best, and we all think it's perfectly sized for running the trails - small enough to handle narrow trails, but with good interior space.
