I could, but don't know what I am doing. (The lift in the 80 was so easy...100 seems a little more complicated)

I am off to search for some Youtube vids, as I would actually rather adjust it myself.

What do you mean by, "literally not too high?" Is there something that can be damaged if it is too high?

Sorry for my ignorance, I learn as I go...
Adjusting torsion bars is one of the easiest things I've done on a vehicle. Jack up the front end, and turn the adjuster bolt one or two rotations, set back down, drive around the block, and see how much the height changed. Righty-tighty to raise, lefty-loosey to lower. It's more work with a breaker bar, so I just use an impact.

Every vehicle you lift has a "too high" point. Most likely on the 100 series you would just be bottoming out your shocks over every bump, but on coilover rigs I've seen CVs come apart and other damage due to being ranked up too high.

Exactly, I was a little worried the first time I messed with the torsion bars, but after getting it apart and seeing how it works, it is a pretty simple setup. Also, check out the bottom post on this link For those with torsion bar questions and download the PDF that Gunny made for torsion bars. This should give you all of the information you need and it has pictures!

Thanks guys!

Also, found this vid, looks easy enough:

After I add the bumpers and potentially adjust the torsion bars, do I need another alignment? It is getting aligned with the install of the lift.

Not as long as you keep it at the same height. Measure height by measuring the center of the hub to the fender.

Ok, so if I change anything with the torsion bars, I will need alignment, right?

Not if you just adjust the torsion bars to compensate for the weight of the bumper. If you adjust the bars to arrive back at the same height as before the bumper you will not need an alignment.

Got it, makes sense. Sorry, I am slow sometimes ;)

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but after a search it’s the only one that’s kind of relevant to my question- The PO had the Strutmastwr setup on my 470. I have swapped the torsion bars to OEM. My question is what are the Eibach Spring Specs that are used by Strutmatser? I couldn’t even find 100 Series Spings on Eibach’s Website. I wonder if they are OEM Specs or maybe a little better (weight or height) or maybe a little worse. My rear is at 22”. Is that an average stock height?

Reviving this old thread. Wondering if anyone knows the spring rate of the Eibach Springs?

I once tried to circumvent Strutmasters by getting the part number directly from Eibach. They said that they made the springs just for Strutmasters so there was never any listing or data in their public product catalog. Now it may have come from some other off the shelf application but they weren't saying what that application was. That would suggest that you may have to get the information from Strutmasters, and I don't think they are using Eibach anymore. One would think that their current conversion kit has similarly rated springs but it's hard to say for sure.

Eibach is now selling springs, and lift kit including springs for the 100 series. You can find them on their website, also available from tire rack.com. Trying to find out what the rate is.

I might replace my 180k Bilstein 4600’s with Eibach’s. Trying to figure out if it is worth to jump up to Icon (at twice the price) stage 1’s.
Here is the kit:
