You can get it. Company in the US named GAHH automotive. It's expensive though. I was hoping your friends in Pakistan could source it cheaper. We buy Toyota parts from the UAE, so who knows. It has to be MB-Tex though. Not just vinyl. You would do well with it I think. My car was 30 years old when I sold it and the Upholstery looked like new. Supple, no cracks, and not even wear marks. It feels like you would expect the finest leather to feel, even 30 years later. Leather is jealous of MB-Tex, the truth be told...

@Ridies Here's a link to the MB-Tex material section. Looks like they have a special wholesaler section.

The car is in rough shape, but the MB-Tex seats look great. I had a Benz with MB-Tex seats back in the go-go 80s. That was the best part of that car.

MB Tex from the old days is legendary, so much better than current vinyls. If a seller of an old Mercedes claims their leather is perfect you know two things - a) it's actually MB Tex, and b) the seller doesn't know they have something more desirable than leather. GAHH is great but expensive. You can get it here for quite a bit less - Veteran Company - Importer of Automotive Fabrics

I was about to pull the trigger on leather from Lseat.com. So I have read through this entire thread. I need front seat covers for my '01 Land Cruiser in the tan color? Has the seat back clip issue been resolved? Will likely be installing myself and don't have the tools to change it out so kinda s big deal for me. What color should I order? How close is the match to the OEM leather? Don't really want or need to recover the back seat but I don't want it to not match well.

I am so excited. The quality is top notch. I have no clue what the 4 panels are in the lower part of the picture. Scheduling installation next week.

Excellent. Would love to get installed pictures here. Use steamer or heat gun to stretch the leather and remove wrinkles. Do this where it is warm and take the time and work with leather. Don't rush. End result will be amazing.

Those pieces are for the back of the seats

Yes all the issues have been resolved.

We are told that light tan matches the closest, but please know that we do not support OEM colors. How close it is, we don't know and we can't guarantee that it will match your back seats.

Thanks

What kind of prices is everyone seeing to install both front seats with a kit like this....labor only?

The light tan is as good as it gets and looks superb

I have a local installer that is doing it for $75/seat including armrest. He is throwing in the center console. On his books for next week.
***price includes reconditioning foam and adding some if needed.

$75 per seat is cheap. Front and middle row was $450 for me.

Well then I will never use L and M in Richmond Va again....I am embarrassed to even put in print what they charged me. They did great work for me 2 years ago at a great price....I did not think I needed to get a quote this time....but came time to pay the bill this time and....bend over

Well. If you know how to do those than I think it will be full 8hr day AT LEAST to do installation. To properly install you need to stretch and steam those. May need heater fixing. Lot of things to do wrong.

And this is all hard physical labor.

$450 sounds OK. At $150 it sounds too good to be true or person doesn’t know what they do

I paid $600.

My major issue here is that 2 years ago they charged me $400 to remove all seats, plus the carpet and reinstalled new carpet for $400 in labor.

Maybe I am way off base here but it would seem that the work done 2 years ago would take more time but I was charged 200 less.

I did not think I needed an estimate this time since they were so reasonable last time.

Lesson learned.....always always always get an estimate even for the smaller projects....

Any updates on the armrests? I feel that my order is still incomplete

Received my arm rests and middle row back panel leather but a little too late. Sold my truck as I upgraded to a 200 series.
Hope you got yours.
