lol...is it really that good?

No Joke. I just got rid of my 1988 Mercedes 300TE about 2 years ago. Do the math there. The MB-Tex looked like brand new. I had the car for a long time before I figured out it wasn't Leather. It always felt like brand new Leather. Nobody believes it's not leather. I had to replace one back at 20 years old. I had sat down in the seat with a screwdriver in my back pocket. I was heartbroken. Replaced it and it matched perfectly.

There was a guy in the 80 forums that did his in Gray MB-Tex. If you swapped out your synthetic for Genuine MB-Tex you would get some takers.

Absolutely! Next time you're around any older Mercedes from the 70's/80's/90's have a look inside. If the interior still looks brand new with not even a crease that's MB-Tex! They put it in later cars too but seeing it in an older car really shows off it's durability. I had it in a '99 Mercedes and a police officer who pulled me over for a traffic infraction thught my registration was a forgery because he couldn't believe it would still look that pristine being an older vehicle.
It's legendary stuff and I even considered replacing the seats in my w111 coupe with it, but as they never made this car with anything but leather, I opted against it to keep it OEM spec.

I concur entirely. Great color choices too, and also made in perforated.

Very interesting guys (@CloudCity and @lesgarten ). Had no idea. Now I am curious to find out more about this material. Only Mercedes has it or other car companies have it too?

You can get it. Company in the US named GAHH automotive. It's expensive though. I was hoping your friends in Pakistan could source it cheaper. We buy Toyota parts from the UAE, so who knows. It has to be MB-Tex though. Not just vinyl. You would do well with it I think. My car was 30 years old when I sold it and the Upholstery looked like new. Supple, no cracks, and not even wear marks. It feels like you would expect the finest leather to feel, even 30 years later. Leather is jealous of MB-Tex, the truth be told...

I'll be jumping on this bandwagon as soon as I get my suspension back together!

I hope I am better at car seats that I am at bushing removal...

;)

I am so excited. The quality is top notch. I have no clue what the 4 panels are in the lower part of the picture. Scheduling installation next week.

When you see them all wrinkled up like that, it is amazing what they become when installed. Kinda like sausage parts.
