I have a fridge in the garage and don't want it to turn into a freezer this winter. Any ideas on how to keep the fridge part from freezing? I'm in MN and I don't want to heat the garage all winter.

disconnect the door light switch.
And this will... Keep the inside a bit warm and keep the compressor running to keep the freezer cold?![]()
LOL! That's what I was thinking when I saw this thread title. I was like.. whaaa??If you don't want your reefer to freeze, light it up!![]()
Can't you just raise the setting on the thermostat inside the fridge?
move it to your kitchen, where it's warm and cozy...![]()
why is it so cold in your garage? insulate the dang thing....!do you have water pipes in there?

(you have to admit this is a pretty ironic topic, no...?)
The wifey is not to cool with the idea of having two refridges in the kitchen.
Not really ironic, If the garage gets to the point where the temp is 36 or so which is where the fridge temp usually is and the compressor doesn't go on the things in the freezer will melt. If it gets below 32, the things in the fridge will freeze. So.... here is the solution. 15 watt appliance bulb and disconnect the door switch to keep the bulb on. This keeps the fridge from freezing and keeps the freezer cold.

with your well-known fab abilities, it should be a piece of cake for you to turn this into a 2 doors / 2 compressors unit!![]()
