Dirty Koala
SILVER Star
I think if someone wants to get in bad enough they will regardless. There are still 5 other windows that can easily be broken and access gained easier than busting out the gull wings.

I wouldn't hold your breath!Anyone have an update on when these should start shipping? I know it was expected this month, so I figured I might check in since we're 2/3 through.
Frank sent an email to those who purchased the kit (at least I got one) with his build schedule and estimated ship date. I was always under the impression they were being built this month, which they are, and that they ship begining of May. Estimated date is 5/12. He gave his direct phone number in the email as well for questions or concerns. Communication from him is top notch!I wouldn't hold your breath!
Odd. I got an email yesterday with that info. Check your junk mail etc. idk. Thanks for the replies, I'll keep an eye out for any updates from Frank. My receipt is the latest I've received and it says shipping 4/27, so hopefully there will be an update one way or the other in a week.
Only the best looking slider out there
Looks good, did you go with steel or aluminum? How long did it take start to finish? Brown Santa should be dropping my wings off in the next 2 hours, pretty excited to get these installed.
Which is why I'm having some of the 4x4labs interior storage fabbed up to slap in there. It won't be hard to get things out of the fridge though. It's easier than going through the back with the dual swing outs. I'm not super high though. Only 3" and 35s.So now there are a few sets of these out there, can anyone who actually has them comment on the actual ease of access to stuff inside the truck? I think the design and workmanship looks top-notch, but it seems like it would be difficult to actually reach much of anything inside the truck, particularly if the truck is lifted much? Any truth to this? For me the molle panels are attractive for that reason because it keeps stuff "right there" where you need it.
I went with aluminum as I live in the north east and want to limit the parts that can rust. What do you plan to mount to the molle?I have steel and don't think they are too heavy. Took me a couple hours to install both. Just a word of caution, the gasket is the toughest part and I used a bike tire iron (little plastic one) to spare my fingers. Have fun! It's a good little project.
