Last week my right rear door would not open from the outside. The inner handle functioned so I could still open the door but doing so was inconvenient. I pulled the door card to find that a portion of the out handle had broken.
A good handle.
Pulled the door card for access to the inside of the door. The handle is held on with only two 10 mm short bolts and is not physically attached to any other parts of the door opening mechanism.
I had to pull the three screws that hold the latch in place but that allowed direct access to the posterior door handle bolt. I didn't realize this until after I had fished my hand inside to remove the bolt.
Also had to adjust the striker once everything was back together as the door was not latching, easy adjustment.
