So I have El Dorado rear disk brakes. (Came on the truck) I wish it still had drum brakes. I’ve thought about going back to drum brakes. Before I do this though, I’ll spend some time to try and figure out the ebrake and make sure the rear brakes are working correctly.

Another upgrade that would obviate the need for rear discs that I did not see mentioned here is hydroboost. It, and TLC's so called "Monster Caliper", have worked reasonably well at improving the poorly performing brakes of my '60. Not many postings about this here, but I did find at least one.

El Dorado rear calipers are a PITA to get the emergency/parking brake to work effectively. Hydroboost is nice but without power steering belt, braking is quite difficult (personal experience on both of those)

Recommend better vacuum booster and rear disc brakes from a TLC vendor. I used SSBrakes and Monte Carlo calipers on my '40. Awesome stopping power.

I have a E- Brake on Orion Tcase. Hate it!!

I would never recommend a E- Brake.
Weak and requires constant adjustment.
I'm going reinstate my drums with brakes.
