Can confirm... Not a typo... I reset the clocks when i filled up and was sitting on emptybafter 3.5miles 😢
Is this based on the fuel gauge or have you refiled the tank and calculated the mileage from fuel to used to refill the tank?

OK, can we please think about this logically for a minute?
You're not getting 0.3 MPG on this engine. There would be raw fuel pouring out the truck as each cylinder would be filled with unburnt fuel.
Not to mention the fact that the injectors can't possibly flow that much fuel even if they were constantly wide open.
I doubt if the engine would even run if that were true.

It's obviously time to get a Land Rover...

Had someone look at it.... And advised to check the injectors.

With it using a lot of fuel anf smelling fuel rich.... Possible injectors issues.
Only filled half tank not full tank (I would be very concerned if it went from full tank to empty in 3.5 miles) ....

Filled approx 40 to 45 litre and went just above empty in 3.5 miles. A condensation is coming out the exhaust more than usual and you can smell petrol in and around the car.... Exhaust is new so doubt any leaks in the exhaust system

Hey i know these cars arnt the most economical but if it was burning this much fuel i would definitely reconsider my choices.

This doesn’t look great.

Not sure what is going on here either.

Mate, you may have a crack in your petrol tank if you're getting 3.5 miles from 45L of fuel. Hope you found a good mechanic to help sort things out.

Quick update.... As this is my first landcruiser and very amateur when it comes to these motors.

I have established that my head is cracked. Previous owner has tried to patch the crack with metal putty.

How hard is it to replace the head on these engines... Are there any write ups

Replacing the head is not overly complicated. The FSM has very good step by step instructions. It gets interesting once you start to tackle all the "while I'm in there" projects and yours has a level if complexity with the LPG system.

I will definitely be removing the LPG system.... Dont think its worth the hassle

Gas is for barbecues, definitely remove it

Edit: even this is debatable, charcoal is probably for barbecues...
