Lifting the rear defiantly makes one aware of the need/desire for lockers.

No way man, I like that exo alot. Very clean lines and functional, nothing goofy, one of favorites for sure. Nice work!

On the way home, awaiting new axles, drivetrain, and all other parts from the donor 82.

Last fall muddy in the NJ pine barrens. 33's on stock suspension

Testing the rubbing of 35's on stock suspension. Only hit at the typical firewall area when turning.

Once upon a time, my truck looked just like yours......not anymore. LOVE THE HUBCAPS.... wanted to steel wheels for my truck, but the wife liked the wheels that are on it. They are from Toyota too.

i guess i'll throw my name in the hat.......

my second "mini" truck ever. had my first one 20 years ago; an 82 with 33" muds. that was the first rig i drove thru rubicon. and i've had a soft spot for them since.;)

anyways, a customer of mine had an unfinished project and made me a deal i could'nt pass up. bought it a couple of months ago, got it trail ready and took it to rubithon this year. already looking forward to running fordyce in early august and then back up to rubicon for the marlin roundup.

specs:
85 runner
vortec 4.3
4L60E
dual cases all 23 spline with 4.7s in rear case
fcfab track bar
allpro x-member
long travel drivelines
alcan springs ( 52" in rear )
billstein shocks
fj60 brakes on front axle
30 spline longs and hub gears
high pinion arb'd front
marlin hs
hydro assist going on next week
v6 arb'd rear
grooved 37" MTRs on beadlocks
arb front bumper with warn winch
4x4labs rear bumper with swing-out
viair onboard compressor with 5 gallon tank under rear of tub
cut fenders
and last but not least, the biggest friggen MARLIN CRAWLER sticker i could find!!!!!!!:grinpimp:

i'm sure there's more. either way, it runs and drives great, had a good time wheeling it and i'm stoked to own a mini again.
