Got mine at Costco.
$20 for 4.
They really are disposable.

I get email from these guys cause I bought their receiver vice. It works, but its kind of too big to pack around.
BUT, they do make really high quality stuff.
Mac's: Tie Down Straps, Ratchet Straps, Axle Straps, Tie Backs, Cam Buckles
Well at least is not made of "Barbies plastic doll hairs" if anything they are a little to much, to out of scale for a SUV, they are Industrial products..

Note: Actually I'm on the same boat and so far I thinking i'm going to keep my Rock climbing rigging, besides tubular straps are very sexy and they pack in no space at all..

Depends on the useage I have several military surplus ones used for ratcheting loads onto aircraft pallets that are heavy duty that I use for big stuff.

Aeroquip makes the best ones I have ever used or seen. Expensive but worth it.

for car tie-down ratchet straps I've used some from summit racing. These have served me well, I always let them dry out if they get wet before I put them back in the trailer storage box. Have also used mac's too. I'm sold on the ones from summit for now...as I recall they are 10K rated.
