200 owners,

I use an IPad for navigation off pavement and mounted it via a BirdDawg HD TechDeck in my Tacoma. I'm considering RAM's Universal No-Drill HD mount for my 200 as it seems like the most stout solution - and I do not want to drill any holes in my dash.

Here's a link to the unit:

Has anyone installed this product their 200, and if so, do you have any photos? It seems like it would work without any serious issue.

I have the top one mounted. No pics. I’ll snap a few tomorrow if no one else posts them for ya. I leave the post in the garage except when I go on trips.

Much appreciated @Roy Park

I used a similar mount for an iPad. Bendable bar so you can adjust the angles to get the actual mount exactly where you want it. To increase the stability I added some Sugru to hold the bar to console which dramatically stabilized it all. I also didn't want to start drilling, and wasn't sure it would hold up to an iPad anyway. I've really like this setup a lot. The Sugru is impressive stuff. Turns to rock, but easily removed with some heat if you ever wanted to pull it all out.

I've tried the pedestal mounts in the past but never could get past the amount of flex. The Sugru is an interesting idea, kudos for thinking of that. I opted for some holes in the dash :D

It's an interesting idea. The sturdiness of having a larger table hard mounted to the plastic trim is pretty fantastic though. Mine doesn't wobble much at all with it hard mounted using a big ass 10 inch tablet. Worst case you can replace the trim.

I tried the flex mount one in my tundra. It turned my iPad into a moving target. Couldn’t see it off road. On that platform I didn’t feel bad drilling my dash. I’m trying the straight arm one for the LC before I drill this beautiful dash. Hahaha.

I can't say there is no wobble. There is some, but not enough to bother me given the other options. I don't tend to look at it much while I'm driving and moving down a trail. It's not perfect but if you aren't into drilling into the dash, it's at least worth a try to see if it's stable enough for your liking.

I have used the pedestal mount pictured in the first post for over a year now. It has worked out great for me. Yes, if I am going off road it can get rather wobbly. But I'm usually looking at the road rather than my iPad when that happens. I have my iPad in there a lot. Typically running Earthmate and/or inRoute. I also use my iPad as my music device so it is BT connected. And I use "Hey Siri" to control it.

Doesn't bother my wife at all when she is riding in the passenger seat and she will often turn it so she can do something with the iPad. But it does limit how far forward you can move the passenger seat. It can go as far forward as any passenger would want but if you are for some reason trying to move it all the way forward, you can't.

My dad built a little table that I can insert in place of my iPad when we are stopped and eating lunch or I am fiddling with camera gear. I even did a conference Webex over Verizon as a hotspot with my Mac sitting on the table from out in the middle of nowhere last winter. My BT keyboard was in may lap. I had pics which I posted back in March of last year but have deleted those pics since then. I'll see if I can find the post.

I found my post. It was for April 21, 2017 on the 200 Series Picture Thread.

I actually picked up one of these flexible mounts second hand. I'm planning on mounting it on the driver's side and using a RAM X-Grip to hold my iPhone for navigation. The aluminum rod is a clever solution for a semi-rigid mount.

Thanks for the link Dan. I think this is the solution I'm going to pursue for my iPad.
