Just trying to find a ball mount for the LX570. When towing 6k to 7k lbs., how much squat should be expected? Thanks

The AHC should bring the back end up to normal ride height. I have an an adjustable hitch that drops up to 7" and use it with most trailers at stock suspension height on 35s. I found a 5" drop hitch wasn't quite enough.

You should probably be using a weight distribution hitch with that kind of trailer weight. Tongue weight is another big factor here. Is it a travel trailer? or something else?

None because AHC will bring it back to normal height (provided your setup is correctly setup with proper WD tension and ball close and tight to the bumper). For a 6-7k lb trailer, tongue weight should be in the 600 - 1050lb range, which should be within AHCs load handling capabilities, if you don't also too much stuff and passengers affecting payload).

Because it doesn't really droop with load, you may need more drop on the shank. For a stock rig and stock trailer, you'll need something like a 6" drop hitch (that also accounts for the height of the WD head).

*Thank you, to everyone on this thread. I appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share it.

I’m towing an LS460 15 miles. The trailer is open (2000 lbs). No passengers or luggage. The trailer tongue is 16 inches.

I'm considering a 6" or 8" drop, both options are adjustable. I'm leaning towards a max 6". Anything requiring more drop will get fixed drop ball mount.

Read the owners manual on how to hook up a trailer with the AHC system, it should be all the way down and when the truck begins to move the system will level out

I am going to throw my 2 cents in here. IMO, all trailers have different heights for the hitch so you have to find the height of the trailer hitch when it is level on level ground. Then you have to measure your truck with the AHC in N on level ground. That will tell you what insert you need. The AHC will keep the truck level.

Most trailers fall between 18"-20" ball height. Or the height that is measured from the ground to the center of the ball / center of ball in the coupler.

AHC makes it easy as there's no droop to compensate for.

As @GordJ suggests, just get the drop stinger that helps locate the ball to that height when in AHC Normal.

6" should do it. If you plan to sensor lift or get larger tires, 8" maybe what you want. It'll stick down by that much more and potentially catch the ground if that's a concern.

I have a drop shank you can have for the cost of shipping. It’s heavy though and you’ll need a ball mount or WD setup as it’s just the drop shank.

What is your tongue height?

The height is 16"

The tow was a success. Thanks to all who contributed/IH8MUD forum members! I used a WS (weigh safe) ball mount with a 6in drop. The AHC is marvelous. The trailer weight was near 6,500 lbs. The max speed was 50mph for 35 effortless miles. The Land Cruiser platform is complex and capable and now I have a glimpse into why it is one of the few "tour de forces" in the auto industry.
