I know some UC members are not aware that we receive 25% off parts & labor from Ralph Hayes Toyota.

Took my 80 into the shop last week to get a few things done.

This is breakdown of what I would have been charged had I not been a member and wht I paid.

Cleaned the upper induction / Throttle body $101.25 / $79.95

Cleaned fuel injectors using a pressurized system $86.60 / $64.95

Replace Tourque converter seal and rear main oil seal. $753.33 / $565.17

Replace front crank seal $123.90 / 92.93

I would have paid $1131.90 from most toyota dealerships or more but today I only paid $848.93 for a savings of almost $300.

Just another reason to being a UC member and going to them for parts and service.

I'm trying to figure a way that when we have monthly meeting that those who are from out of town can go drop you vehicle off Sat morning and someone from the club pick you up and hang out until 3 and then go get it in time to go to the meeting. I'd be will to show some members around Gville for a day to help you save some money.

They usually can prepare for issues if give notice in advance.

Get the PHH done if it hasn't been done Marshall.

This is a great idea, Marshall!

I've got upper ball joints on the IFS that need new dustcover boots. I've already got the boots, but not the tools for separating the ball joints. I was considering taking it to my local dealer, but would rather take advantage of RHT's discount towards UC members.

Agree with Marshall, RHT is the place!

I have driven from Asheville twice now to get "major" service done to two of my LCs. The only problem was sitting around the dealership all day. (Fully explored Lowes and Target behind RHT).

Would be nice if a UC buddy picked up us out of towners, but that would be alot to ask.

Would it be possible for RHT to give UC members a "loaner" or "extended test drive" vehicle for day? (Prefereably an FJC:bounce: )That way, all the "sights" of Anderson could be viewed, including "TL Hanna High" and the hot dog place. And RHT might just sell another vehicle . . . .

My dealer isn't RHT, but I always get a loaner when I drop off a Cruiser for service. Nice option to have since I despise hanging at the dealer and killing time.

I would test drive an FJC for a day....at The Gulches! :)

Dan, we did that . . .

or more precisely Alex (oops!) did that when RHT brought a new FJC to Sonic last year. We commandeered it and found a "construction" site to test drive it on.

Perhaps we can negotiate some sort of agreement with RHT when a UC members comes in for service, wherein they will loan out an FJC?

That would be sweet. :idea:I think I might have to take my Chevy pickup in for some work on the 29th of Sept... Think they'd give me a loaner FJC? (J/K, I would never abuse such a sweet deal)

Seriously, this is a great sponsor to have, and they will definitely get my business when(who knows when) I get a cruiser.
