Really cool watching your business develop, it is unfortunate that you are not doing early 40's. I have a 65 that I will be replacing the entire brake system. I am going to restore back to original as much as possible, and I am slowing understanding the difficulties that are up ahead. I will be watching to see if you add this to your lineup.

Thanks for the compliment and I'd love to be able to do that but the susceptible failure of the early line nuts is a scary thing. However, if you want to help me figure out how to conquer the beast, I'll certainly help you out with your lines. I have been warned over and over by lawyer friends, tax guys, and others to be very careful with this biz. That's why I'm having to create an LLC. Just to cover my butt in case someone's wife or mother tries to sue me because their loved one ran off the road and they blame the brake system. Having the inherent weakness in the early lines brings up a red flag.

1st. for any business, in my opinion an LCC is a must, being involved in law suits for real estate dealings, it covers your family and personal dealings. My advice for anybody starting a business is 1. Use an accountant (unless you are one) 2. Find a good lawyer and build a working relationship (even if you don't pay a retainer, find a good one.) 3. Make sure you have an LLC. (sounds like you are off to a good start)

For the 65' beast, I just starting sourcing information this project (still building a shop for the project), and just started touching/learning about these brakes. I don't want do the disk brake option (trying to stay original), this is a weekend driver with no intentions of hard core offroad use. If the 9mm are a bad as they say, it is better to put 10mm nuts and upgrade all associated equipment, master cylinder/wheel cylinders? My entire system needs to be replaced. Are those a direct bolt on for a 65? I can see the easier path would be upgrading axle housing with birfields joints etc, but for now going to stick with the original. Thanks,
 
Well, I'm new to the LLC because I've had my own business for 25 years and as an illustrator and photo retoucher there isn't much liability anywhere in there. Not one person or animal was injured during the creating of my illustrations. Not one. So it didn't come straight to me that I needed this. But I'm glad to have friends that are watching out for me.

Getting the biz accepted by the state should come right in time for my first complete set to be created and priced. I'll post a picture of the complete set and my pricing as soon as next week I hope. I plan to show my kit along side a photo of the competition to show how different it will be.

Perhaps @vtgbeemer can answer your 10mm brake replacement question above.
 
There is a section in the FAQ section that covers the 9mm issue that all the early 40 owners face but even it doesn't cover everything because of a deminishing supply of correct wheel cylinders, master cylinders, etc. Example: I ordered a new replacement single master cylinder for my 69 from O'Reilly . It came in a generic box with their part number on it and when I opened it I was pleased to find it was a new Asin.....however it was 10mm. Since I was fabbing all my hard lines it was no problem for me but in order for Rainman to do sets, he would have to know how many non-original fittings your rig requires.

Along with all the goober and just plain stupid things the PO did to my build, in a bag of small parts and worthless cheap tools, I found an adapter nut that was 10m on the male end and 9m on the female? Who in the hell would want to adapt DOWN?!

I don't know yet. I'll bet some would but there are some lines with changes listed. I just don't know what they were. I need to get my hands on some late model Cruisers to find out. I just may have to call on the local club I co-founded and see if I know anyone...
