Radiator hose set experience/ review - update #1

I previously ordered a set from Cool Cruisers and although they fit well enough, the rubber seemed a little suspect: very stiff and almost plastic like. I didn't had already purchased them so went with it. After putting 800 miles on it, this is what was happening to all of them. In all fairness, it sat a few years and they might have different vendors now

I looked on line but the prices seemed crazy hight for a set but it looked like AutoZone had everything available but the bypass hose. The prices were very reasonable and it was local/ free shipping so I went for it. When they arrived, they seemed like quality pieces but the fit was wishful thinking - here is the worst example: what I though I was ordering and what arrived

In my searches, I found what looked like a nice set on eBay. The only issue was that it came from Indonesia but was only $75 delivered.
After my previous experience, I decided to go for it - took a couple of weeks to arrive but looked great.

the rubber seems like very high quality. granted, won't know for sure until they are a few years old. The fit was perfect

as mounted - went for a few small drives and no leaks/ bursts etc - calling it a win so far

COOT has been on my list of people not to buy from for about 15 years now. They sent me wrong wheel cylinders - "just put them on upside down"

the hoses don't appear to have any re-inforcing cords in the rubber????

For about $100 with shipping I or several other vendors that sell OEM parts could have sent you all of them with new Toyota stickers and you could have bought one time instead of three

I was under the impression that the hoses were no longer available from Toyota? When I searched on line, nothing populated
Correct, no cords in the rubber - I was concerned about swelling under pressure but doesn’t seem to be an issue so far… stay tuned

I just brought these two home the other day.

update for all you haters - you were right
All good - someone had to do it - happy to help
The first few drives everything was great. I kept an eye on things just because it was such an unknown - looked today and check it out: everything was starting to swell and the bypass hose looked like it was about ready to pop! A little stressful but made it home - off to see the Toyota dealer now.
