Lads/Lassies,

Last year, while recovering from GBS, I had plenty of time to think. Normally, nothing good comes out of my boredom, but I decided to re-open my business and expand to my true love, audio. Got my LLC in Nov, website launched about two months ago, got my vendors lined up, 3d printer station and CNC router along with a dedicated resin/fiberglass molding/sanding station which should be up and running by summer or so. I am a dealer for CDT, Audison, Hertz. Morel and Audiofrog may get added on soon as well. Currently I only make OEM integration kits for all models of Audis with focus on 2018 B9 chassis with Bang & Olufson "systems", Mark Levinson systems are BRAX sound quality compared B/O. I am very motivated to give 100 series a go with making adaptor to host PRIMA 6.5 w/AP1P for rear doors, very well could be THesis units as well (about $1500 per side in case anyone asks :D). My kit would come with it's pigtail, HDPE adaptor, water guard, plenty of sound absortion material (closed cell or bust) so all you would have to do is install it. I sell my kits exactly at .01 over my MAP so keep everything affordable for everyone, not just high rollers.

I also stock Dayton Audio and Silver Flute (King of affordable 8ohms woofers).

The more products for our trucks the better.

Sounds good. I miss my Morel Virtus from my 99 build. Fully active front stage with all the proper time correction and DSP'd to flatten out some of the peaks and valleys. Dual 11" Focal subs. Best audio I've had in a car. That was the first time I realized Rooster had at least three distinct layered vocals in the intro.

The 100 is a pretty good vehicle for a rocking system.

I still have this album in constant rotation

I have these in my front doors. I've been extremely impressed.

I'm doing a two way system up front with a wide band 2" driver from BLAM. JBL GTI mkII 12" sub for bottom end.

Twk-88 for all the processing.

Biggest bang for the buck is full treating the front doors and using a solid DSP to smooth and curve.

Ok. Thank you for positive responses. I will ask the following question then, would clear acrylic spacer/adapters be considered tacky?

Clear acrylic works! Way nicer looking than the ones I normally make from walmart hdpe cutting boards.....

If concerned with tacky-ness, add some color changing LEDs for +5hp.

They look great to me, I would have much rather bought these than make my own. Cutting acrylic with a dremel was not fun and I couldn't justify a nice router and jig just for two spacers.

I am mesmerized by Morel's Lotus tweeters, stunning. Simply stunning. I love everything about that company. As I stepped away from Booming Bass phase to Clarity first, I realized a lot my childhood songs sound quite a bit different when they are played via high-end components.

Lads/Lassies,

I apologize for not updating this thread in ages, most def not what I had in mind. I did not ghost anyone who paid me but I have left people in DMs, I deeply apologize for that. Not to sound mopey, but I never addressed any of my mental health shortcomings once I finished my 20 years in the service and got misdiagnosed which led to wrong meds being given. Nothing bad happened but my wires were def crossed, but I have been "repaired" recently. Actually I am better than I ever was, and a parting advice - - - Work with multiple doctors to cover any blindspots and voids. Anyhow, I am back with vengeance.

Brackets in the photo are for B9 chassis Audis, they are made of ASA CF. I also deploy PolyCarbonate Carbon Fiber filament, light and wickedly durable. Metra brackets or any universal brackets are made via mold injection. They are mass produced and are not oriented for any sound absorbtion. I am working on making something special for our rear doors, I should have something in a near future. Front brackets examples are being worked on right now, I should have a working set tomorrow. Also, I am working on an idea of a white bracket with the vulnerable Ivan Stewart theme. I found the proper filament colors so let's see how it goes.

Glad you're back man! Sorry to hear you've been through it recently. Minds are crazy things. Props for finding your way through it. It isn't an easy thing.

Love the way those brackets look and excited to see what else you come up with. I'll be reaching out in a few months when I get to my sound system build phase.

Lads/Lassies,

I drew for a little bit today, in my free time. This is an extremely rough rendering, I had the colors hex code matched. My printer can do a quad-colore print, so Thank Jesus that Ivan was not into patterns with more colors in it.

Not sure if this helps at all, here's the Stinger 6.5" speaker adapter (which does fit a Gladen Zero Pro 6.75" woofer) and an Aerpro 6.5" speaker adapter (2mm too narrow for the ZPs). These are for the front doors.

My 90% build is:
  • HU - T'eyes CC3 - co-ax digital cable into
  • DSP/Amp - Alpine Optim8 (replaces the ML amp), and was easy to mount in the existing frame (yessss)
  • Front - Gladen Zero Pro 165, 2 channel active. Tweeters going in tomorrow, pods to go on front dash under windscreen, being 3D printed as I type
  • Rear - Audio System CO130 co-axial - HPF/LPF is 8,000Hz and 150Hz - rear fill only, and a direct screw in replacement for the ML cone
  • Back - Steg SQ8-4 in small sealed box behind 2nd row seat.
This is designed only for SQ, not very loud. The Gladen tweeter fs is 800Hz, so with 2,500Hz crossover should have some fantastic clarity. Will run the Alpine auto eq once the tweeters are in.

Looking forward to hearing your notes!

I am much older than most of you but back in the day…. The coolest slogan I’d heard was Cerwin Vega: “Loud is beautiful if it’s clean”
Allman Brothers played thru a series of Crown amps and those earthquaker sub woofers is the only justification for the tinnitus in my head for the last 40+ years…

EDIT: should have mentioned the album title….LIVE at the Fillmore

My man breasts perk up when I see Steg, MSS3 will go down as a legend of a midrange in the audio history books. Excellent choice of comps and that Optim8 is oh so nice. A lot of people who use Alpine, do not know about their "F1 Status" division side of their house, truly good stuff. It is not all Type S and Type R with them.

So the design that I have adapted and overhauled sits between Stinger and Metra, but much more durable. I have no idea why major brands that own "printer farms" choose ABS? I do not know a single person in the industry that prints midbass brackets out of ABS, ASA at the very minimum. Sorry for the rant.

My rig got wronged by a local audio shop last year, but I could not do anything about it...show owner passed shortly after. Over the last few months, I have been rewiring all speakers via 14 gauge wire and applying additional sound deadening. I have a BT adaptor and a cable, so I can be lazy or plug in. Since 2019, I have been using Rhino Radio and now it is for HVAC only. My build is 100% when it comes to materials on-hand, about 1% actually applied.

HU - iPhone as a "DAP" via S.M.S.L PO100 Pro interface > long ass cable>DSP.
Front amp/DSP - Helix Ultimate amp/dsp to power Illusion Audio Carbon C3 and C6.
Rear door - this is mainly to assist with midbass like I have now. Hybrid Audio 5-channel to power Audison Prima Ps (for now) and 8" Audiomobile sub in the pass footwell. (4 channels bridged for two midbasses in the lower half and 1 channel for front sub).
Sub - SQL12 will receive power via Helix One X.

Here is how I obtained everything above (minus the speakers) for a steep discount, Italy is 22% VAT that is included in the advertised price. For us, US residents this spells about $1288 plus shipping. RG ships super quick via DHL, 3 days max.

What they cost in US.

live at the fillmore....often cited as the best live blues-rock album ever recorded. It hooked me🪝

@QBerkut10r

My front speakers came in their own enclosures, which (because of the opening in the door) I had to cut up to fit what you see. Will your 6.5" adapter "work" for this or is my confutation unique? 1998 LX470
