if you size it correctly it will function as good as or better then the factory cat.

looking for info here too. I have heard to only go with the OEM cat. What experiences have you guys had. Two expensive oem cats is hard to swallow.

Newer aftermarket cats are more efficient than the OEMs. They flow better. They catalyze better. And they're far less expensive.

BUT...

Be aware of your local/state laws. Some places require stock or "stock appearing" configuration as well as proper emissions, others don't care as long as the right stuff is and isn't coming out of your tail pipe, and still others seem only to care that you're not throwing a code.

The price or a good aftermarket is compelling enough to try it... Who knows a brand / source for proper fitting aftermarket CATs that bolt to 95-97s?

Jeg's. Summit. Checker/Schuck's/Kragen. AutoZone. Car Quest. Thay all sell a universal cat in various pipe diameters. Take it to your local exhaust shop to have the flanges clocked and welded on. I'd avoid Meineke/Midas though. They'll want to just cut off your existing flanges and weld the new cats inline.
Ask if the new cat has a CARB EO or XO number. If it does, it's a fairly safe bet it's 50 state legal. Your local exhaust shop and emissions station can tell you for sure.

No more information on that 3 way? The 3 way magnaflow CAT I mean.
As in is it a 40 series, 50 series.... model number maybe?

I'm running one 3-way Magnaflow performance cat on mine... No light and no more hitting the exhaust on things!

Interested in this too. Know what you paid for that system? Wonder if its CA emissions legal. Tough laws here.

just looked at their website and they don't even have anything listed for a Landcruiser in the CA section
