Nice work. I like PTO winches for working. Spent many hours on a string winching my deuce and half packing a signal shelter and pulling a generator trailer up (and back down) hills in Germany. I'd like to do a hydraulic one on the front with an electric on the rear.

lots and lots of resources here. I believe there's a winch rebuild thread somewhere.
I have an electric 9,000 lb Ramsey on my 40 but do have a PTO on my 49 Power Wagon. Added an engine kill switch by the PTO just in case. PTO's can fold in your front bumper if not careful.
starting the same project. The gear and the winch turn freely but the shaft is rusted and the shaft ends won’t move at all. The locking lever is also locked up. I’m new to the forum and to the hobby so any advice is appreciated. Where can I get new gaskets and rubber parts?
I found this short on youtube from AndyBJ43 and it makes reference to NSK Bearings 6205ddu, SKF CR Seals 13445, and Cordeco shaft seal: CORTECO 12015875B but I don't know how many to order, and I can't find anybody who sells that shaft seal on the internet. It does not show in the video how it all comes together. Besides, the only comment on the video was that he was wrong to grease outside a sealed bearing.

The oil seals are 35 I.D. x 55 O.D. x 11 thickness (mm) so any good quality oil seal with those dimensions should work. I just ordered a pair from an ATV parts site, Oil Seal, 35x55x11 | $13.38 - https://www.drratvparts.com/oil-seal-35x55x11-96100-355511a.html. I'll post again once I receive them.
Seals on the top are the new ones... right size, but perhaps the wrong type?
If you’re looking for the two seals on the worm gear try this 90311-28004. I believe that is what I used but I may be wrong. That’s a Toyota number.
