Reading your reply I'm thinking i should of put more info in the post. To clarify it was my grandfathers rig and i inherented it not long ago after he passed. He put the winch on this car from what i believe is 71 short wheel base. i know they arnt rare and non toyota but going off the fact that the only Thomas PTO winches that i could find are these types maybe i haven't looked hard enough maybe I'm blind maybe all of the aboveThomas is a winch company. Non-Toyota, but not inherently rare. I have one in the yard that was on a power wagon. Someone just installed on on your rig. Might even have been a dealer install. unlikely, but possible.

If I am sitting at the computer and posting on Mud... *I* am the one wasting time in the first place.Update.. i infact didn't look hard enough and i may or may not be blindjust looking before on the Google's again and i found some posts that have the same exact winch idk how i missed them or if i typed something different th Frist few times i looked but doesn't matter thanks for the help and sorry for wasting your time
. Cheers wyatt
Yha i had another look and this time found the same winch etc. like i said i must of missed them or just typed the worng stuff in30 second google search shows me that Thomas PTO winches are still available new. Sized from 8000 to 30,000 lbs capacities. Can't say that I know much about them in spite of having one here (never used, installed or even inspected closely). I have used my Toyota and Braden PTO winches more.
Generally speaking any of the old PTO winches are usually found for almost nothing used. Very very little market for them any more.
That picture you just added is of a Toyota PTO, not a Thomas
.
