Worked on reverse engineering a seat from a 2006 Land Rover LR3 for installing into the 80. 80 pass seat is on left, LR3 pass seat on the right. i started out with these to make sure I want to tackle this project from the standpoint of mechanical and electrical perspective. While there are lots of wires in a LR3, it also has bun warmers and CAN bus communication wires. I don't need the CAN bus wires, and occupancy sensor. The buckle release wires need to be connected to the 80 so that the beep and dash light don't illuminate. I'll use this seat heater switch thread to help with the bun warmer switches.

I'll prolly cut off the feet on the 80 seat then weld them to a DIY adapter setup of some sort. The LR3 seats will be bolted to my DIY adapter.

Hopefully the LR3 seats will eliminate driver fatigue from these long drives. Additionally, these seats have arm rests while providing firm bottom and back cushions.

About time. Didn't we pull these 5 years ago?:flipoff2:

Making Pappy happy...

Finished the roof rack install. With lots of bolts, slots and slop, it took a little while to get all the holes aligned. And the tight spaces to access bolt heads and nuts didn't help.

Look at Larry's and Jeff's too. I like the new mini version of Larry's.

I really like my RoofNest Falcon. They have a slightly bigger version, Falcon XL, too. Glad to see your roof rack, I am looking at several different ones for my GX , to mount up my Falcon RTT. Lots to choose from. What are the measurements? The Falcon RTT is 90"x 50", so I need a rack that holds that size., plus an inch or two to mount up brackets for an awning.

A neighbor offered me 10 chickens, a rooster and a coop for $100. Technically it was $80 for the chickens and $20 for the coop. She should have given me a discount for taking the coop. It was built very poorly and I had to disassemble it to move it. And now I have spent the past 2 days reinforcing and rebuilding it so that it isn't one windy day away from being blown apart. Still need to put up an outdoor run/fence area with electric fencing to keep predators away before I can get the chickens. Oh, and I got a nice souvenir on my thumb from the screwdriver to remind me what a pain it was for the next couple months until the nail grows out.
