I've got the electric power steering kit for my BJ40 showing up tomorrow - hopefully that will be an easy install. I'm also waiting on hearing back from 4 Wheel Parts that my 255/85-16 BFG MTs are in so I can get them mounted and balanced on my new "retro look" wheels.

Last night I replaced both front motor mounts. The new mounts vastly decreased NV&H, especially when in Drive but at idle RPM. Previously, the whole vehicle would shake. Now, there's no difference between park and drive. Extremely happy with that development. Huge improvement.

Both mounts I took out were broken - the DS completely detached, and the PS hanging on by a thread. PS pictured below. The fact that the motor was literally not attached to the car explains why it used to move around so much, haha.

I continue to have noise/vibration issues with my front Tatton DC shaft. I think I will pull it again and see if greasing it helps. If problems persist, I may have to build my own, or explore other options.

Wow I thought the 255's were no longer produced! Very pleased to hear they're still out there. Looking forward to pics of this combo

I ordered a Gamiviti roof rack back in February with an expected completion date in April. I had planned to take a weekend trip to Denver to pick it up and install it with Tim Nakari's help (owner of Gamiviti). Employer restrictions have prevented me from leaving the state to go get it. Tim happened to be driving through town on his way to Tucson on Friday and I met him in ABQ to pick it up. Stripping the OEM roof rack wasn't much trouble but then I discovered Tim accidentally left out the bolts that secure the brackets to the roof. So I'm waiting on the bolts and some other hardware accessories that he forgot to put on the box to show up this week to finish up the install. The no roof-rack look is very clean but not very utilitarian.

Ahem, don't make me say it.

Somehow I knew you were going to say this. I didn't have any photos handy. I was reserving a spot for future photos. Plus, the only photo I could show now is a naked roof.

Making Pappy happy...

Ooh that's pretty!

Normally with the basket down so I can have a flat deck to put stuff like lumber on whenever I go to Home Depot. I got the Expo++ tapered.

Tower mounting bolts showed up in the mail to day so hopefully I'll have it installed on Friday and sharing some new photos.

I also got a pair of these:

and four of these:

You're using Virgil's new roof rack as your security door?
