I started this weekend on this project.I want to take this rusted 62 and rebuild a 75 cab on it.The work on 75 cab I bought at a scrapyard, is almost completed as well.
Here goes the big strip!

As you guys can see, we're in the middle of summer & its hot as hell!!
Greetings from Namibia!

very cool. i love the 3FE and auto

good luck!

btw where are you located?

get some rest and start at it again in the morning, nice project and welcome

More work done

I'm almost done with the cab and the load bin.The bin I shortened by 450mm in front and 300mm at the rear after mocking up the cab.The 60's wheelbase is substancially shorter than the 75.I do not want to go SOA on this Cruiza for a low as posible COG.I'm not much into crawlinlg & stuff, so to get the clearance I need,I hope to get 35 BFG's,a scarce and expansive commodity in this part of the world!

After fitting everything, I'll remove it and sandblast the chassis and drivetrain, before etch priming and paint.
Eish!!! So much work to do!!!

I'm curious- where does the cab sit in comparison with the engine and front axle? Is there going to be any need to move either one to make the 70 cab ist "correctly" in relation to the 60 chassis?

How about a side profile shot? :)

The second and third set of mounts on the Chassis is exactly on the same spot as on the pick-up.Only the front mount need to be modified. It need to be higher. For the load bin I made new ones. The sitting posistion is just right.I'll post a side pic!
