I got my tyres

I bought these in SA over the weekend.I paid R2300-00 after disc. The ZAR/U$ is now 7:1.I thus paid US$ 328 a piece.Their retail price is about ZAR 3000 @.Then I paid 16.5 % Import duties on the Namibian border!!I can't wait to put them on the rims tomorow!!

Flat beds are not very popular in this part of the world, but I've seen a couple of nice pics of some! For a work truck, that would be the way to go,Thanx for the idea!!

I never take a flat bed option .. not my style, but there are some that really like it, and I thought for a toy ( trail rig ) was nice ..

What are the details with licensing such a creation over there? Do you have to have an inspection? In the picture I am sure things aren't fully done but are you going to have more space between the bed and cab to account for frame/body flex in the bush? Nice project!

Thanx for the comments!
Here you just register the vehicle as a build-up!Yes they do an inspection like any other ,to make sure the vehicle is roadworthy!
Hank,I took closer look and saw the wheel arch does not line up with centre of the diff, I put up the bed to much to the front.I'll move it back some 20 mm to line up!.I did some cutting to the bed arch as well,to get some clearance!Pics uploading....
