Green.

Take the brochure down to the paint shop, and see if they can match it...if there is no code, who's gonna dispute if you got it right or wrong;)

Well that is enough to convince me GREEN it is........... and in honor of Heather I will call it Oscar  he was my hero growning up :D

Couldn't get motivated to do anymore body work today but I was able to score a H41 and all the bits I need to convert from a 3spd to 4spd tranny Thanks Belmont. I also think I have located a clean pair of front fenders thanks to R.K.

so I have most everything I need now to finish the old girl up, and I hope to get a good 5-6 hours in on her tomorrow.........only one month to the annual meeting :o

thanks for everyones input and help

you color and the 1961 factory lit. look pretty close to me...... def. could use a little more green, but if I can't find a valid paint code I might to go with yours

The pic from the brochure is more of an olive and marshall's is more gray if you take that brochure to a good painter they can match it and keep working on it until its perfectly what you want.

You all spend way to much damn time looking up paint color codes and reading 40 year old brochures about paint color. Get some lives people. :flipoff2:

Was 62 that much different than 64?

Color Chip Selection

Color Chip Selection

actually yes :flipoff2: ......... seriously though spring green, nebula, and the grayish green I am after are fairly close in color. I am just being a cruiser dork and want the correct color from that year :hillbilly:

and truly the '62 40 was entirely different beast than '64 40 ....... it could be argued it had as much in common with the FJ25 as the later FJ40s

okay I am offically a cruiser dork

Aint that the damn truth Richard, and you know if he doesn't find the correct color code all we will ever hear when he talks about it, is how this isn't the exact match of green cause he couldn't find the correct color code.....you can solve this JP by just going with red...that's an easy color code.....you and you authentisity crap JP.....it's 2008 and not 1961...you probably have seen this color somewhere but it was faded or dirty and you are confusing them.....just go with red JP it's a hell of a lot easier!

You have no room to talk. The last cruiser you painted was orange, white and purple.
