Jon, looking good man. The cross bar for the harnesses is too low though. The conncetion for the shoulder restraints can't be more than 45* from horizontal.
• It is strongly recommended that the shoulder harnesses be fitted as close to horizontal as possible. It is
a must that the angle of the shoulder harness does not exceed 45 degrees in relation to the theoretical horizontal axis of the mounting points. Never anchor straight down behind the back. (See diagram for recommended anchorage points)
Just looking out for your safety - not trying to be critical!

I am with Ramon on this one. I would move the belt bar up. You can cause yourself some damage with the harness in that position.

I've been busy but not many pics...
Still struggling with finding a machinist that can drill and tap the output shaft of my sm465. I think I've got one now that can do it...third times a charm! I need this done so I can finish the SOA, setting pinion angles etc.
Brian gave me a stock tank for my 70 year and had it checked for leaks. Interior of the tank looks perfect. Sanded and painted so it'll be ready to install when the time comes.
Picked up a set of 5 new (but older date code) Cooper STT tires in 37x12.50x17 for a steal at $850 delivered.
Also scored a set of 5 used TR beadlocks that were recently powder coated gray. I sanded and painted the slim rings black and am very happy with them.

Those TR rims are tits man, nice find.
Nice wheels, you'll love them! I run them on my buggy and have had no issues with them. You may want to do the duct tape trick on the inner safety bead of the wheel if you plan to run the tires at really low air pressures.

Making some progress but also running into snags...just the nature of the beast I guess.
Got the twin stick mounted. It's the kit from AA and was designed to work with their adapter which adds 5-6" to the drive train length (in between the trans and tcase). Since I used a plate adapter I had to redrill the mounting plate and lengthen the shifter linkages. No pics but it worked fairly well.
Worked some on modding the trans tunnel for the sm465 and twin stick. Twin stick was easy, just cut a hole but a cover for the trans was more involved. I built a raised cover. It's tacked together and looks ok and should work fine. I still need to finish up making a cover for the drivers side where the top plate of the trans pokes out.
Also worked on the steering and PS box placement. I going to run a scout box with 4x4labs arms. I was planning to use Ford shock towers but think I'm going to run hoops instead.
To get as much uptravel on the DS I had to move the scout box back quite a bit and now covers where the ford towers should be. Hoops should work fine...just one more thing to order

The rear axle has been turned so the pinion points to the trans output shaft (I'll end up running a DC shaft front and rear).
Mounted the rear bumper tire and cooler carrier (with HighLift and rim/tire) mainly for weight when setting the pinion angle of the rear axle. Mounting beadlocks is a time consuming process.
Pic of the tank after paint (my spare bedrooms are beginning to become filled with painted parts).
I picked up a pair of OEM soft doors and got them taken apart, off to the blaster and then epoxy primed. The doors are in really good shape with just a couple of very small places needing work...mainly on the bottm of the frames where they have split open (nothing major at all).
I picked up a set of wing window reproduction weather stripping from Genisis4x4. They look very nice but should for the price!! Alss got canvas and other soft parts from spector. All I need to do is get new plexi cut.
Picked up a battery from Sears. It's a Die Hard Platinum Marine. I had on in my 80 series and was pleased with it. Also had a stainless battery tray from stainlesstrays.com.
You're moving now!! Think she'll be ready for the '13 wheeling season?

The 'plan' is for it to be 30x40ish with lift in the center, left hand bay and storage/shop on he right side.
We have the space but $$$ may cause it to be slightly smaller as we are putting in a pool too.

. You're damn right about ready to get back in a cruiser. I hadn't touched this thing in over 6 months between starting a new job and then renovating an entire house over the past two months...then moving.
I started Friday night with no axels under it to winching it off the trailer Saturday night into storage.
Had to build/install both axles, finish suspension, mount 5 bead locks (which is a huge pain in the ass), installing winch (crossing fingers it would work) and then getting it out of the garage.
It was a LOT of work...but I got lucky and had almost zero issues. Only minor issue was the front spindles needing some Emory cloth love so the inner wheel bearings would slide on.

Hopefully you didn't click on this post thinking I'd be finished or have made some major progress...cause neither of those are the case. Honestly I haven't touched this rig since tucking her into storage 9 months ago...but I have been very busy with other projects! That's one main reason I've seemed to dissappear from the club/forum...I;m still around though!
Steph and I are on the finishing end of installing a pool and re-landscaping the yard of our new to us home (I say that tongue and cheek as the yard really had no landscaping when we started).
The club's resident landscape architect (jfz80) was kind enough to draw us up a plan that the wife and i could execute in small portions. We've almost completed the hardscape work and then plan to take a break until the fall when we'll plant trees, shrubs, etc.
Few pics along the way...i also used the GoPro and took timelapse pics during certain work days for video documentation.
We did a majority of the work ourselves but did contract out the pool dig/install to Rising Sun Pools in Raleigh. We're fairly happy with their work..communication was a bit thin but overall acceptable.
