Well, Gundy is begging for some new casings. The old
33x9.5 BFG AT/KOs have been great but I'm thinking
about some 34x9.5 Swampers. I'll have some used 33x9.5s
for sell CHEAP, if I can find a local Swamper dealer. :grinpimp:
JP, you ran those 34s on your last 40 didn't you?
Anybody know where a "best buy" dealer is nearby the Upstate?
What about those 4WD Parts ads in the mags?
Anybody ordered tires by mail before?

I picked up my 34 x 9.5 SS LTBs locally at 4WD Parts for about $140 apiece. An extra $15-17 per tire gets you lifetime warranty. Totally worth it for me, but only good if you can get to one of their locations for warranty swap/repair.

If you are looking for mail order, check with Tirerack.com or Tirepackage.com, then go to 4WD Parts. 4WD Parts will match anybody's deal, even online deals. You just have to give them the web address so they can look it up. They'll negotiate with you.

Hello Gundy...how much for your 33's if you find swampers???..thanks

I know JP ordered tires off the internet before those 35's on the old suburban were bought online. I'm sure he'll chime in, hes down in Conyers, GA looking at guys in spandex right now.

I can vouche for JP, he was indeed checking out the spandex.

BUT! He did give me a beer :)

2nd in line for your old 33x9.50 do you have a price yet?

So does this mean your planning on off roading?

HECK NO! ROFLMAO!!!
I just like the look. :grinpimp:
Seriously, Gundy has been a second
car for a great deal of it's life and has seen MANY
more road miles than trails, hence, the ATs.
Gundy's evolution has taken it off the second
car list. It's now seldom used except for Cruiser
related event stuff. Time for some quick wearing,
rough riding , roaring tires....perhaps. I doubt
I put 500 miles on it a year now days. A more agressive
tire would be easier to tolerate now.
I'm not 100% sold on the change. Just getting thinking
about options.

Just pokin at ya......because I haven't seen ya in a while (between me not being able to go and you not being able to go.)

David I have ordered all my tires (3sets) from National tire and wheel (ntwonline.com) They seem to have the best prices for swampers and shipping is very reasonable..... cost me 50 dollars for this last set I just ordered up for my new 40.

Also I did run the 34X9.50 TSL's on my old 40......... but went with 32X9.50 this time for my new 40. The 32's run large and will actually be the same size as the 33's you run now if not slightly larger. If you go withthe 34's you are going to probaly have some rub....... just a thought.

Either way you can't beat the skinny look on a 40........ it is classic

good luck

I buy all mine at four wheel parts, not cheap, but the no questions warranty is worth it on the high dollar meats we run.

This might be a bit of a ride for you, but I picked up a spare 32x10.50 TSL Radial super swamper last summer @ Galloway 4wd in Richfield, NC. I am not a big fan of one of the owners but the guys on staff are good to deal with. I think I paid $140 for one, but they are very negotiable based on how many you get and how long of a ride you take to get there.
