Could use your help, 100 series friends. I'm about to buy an 03 LC, grayish-light-blue, with 180k miles from a friend. I'm more of an 80 series guy and don't know my 100 series prices as well. It's an AZ vehicle with zero rust, gray leather interior in good shape, with no rips or tears. No DVD player. NAV. No AHC suspension. Bone stock. Paint is good, appears to have been garaged. Timing belt done back at 85k miles, but will need to be done again soon.

What would you say is a fair price for the vehicle I have described above?

Many thanks!

anywhere from $8000-12000

prices are all over the place, some depends on where you live

Yep, its really regional. 8k is closer to what it's overall 'true value' is (going on 15 year old vehicle, that get horrible gas mileage).

Thank you guys for the feedback. Interesting because 8k seems low to me, for a non-rust AZ truck. I've never seen one priced that low out West of the continental divide. Even out East, it appears this one recently sold for 11500 with 190k miles: For Sale - 03 LC 190k Raleigh NC

Any other opinions out there?

I paid 11.5 in the fall for my 03 with 192k miles. Good shape, no rust. Thought I got a good deal. I'd say anywhere under 10k would be a great deal.

Thanks sacmaster. Your experience being a good deal is more in line with what I have seen, too. I haven't seen anything under 200k list under 11k. Appreciate the real-life experience and input.

super helpful guys. Thanks a ton!

I've been scouring my state for months trying to find a clean 100 and what I've seen lately is 03-04's average 12k. I've seen them as low as $9,500 and up to 16K. Unfortunately, 98-02's are averaging 9k and are not nearly as nice as as the 03+ I've seen.

I am actually planning to look at an '00 today that's priced at 10k because I need a replacement for my wifes 2 door asap and it's slim pickings for an adequately priced 100 series around me. There's an 03 about 1.5hr's away at 12.5k that I am considering as well.

Hi, His price reflects work, timing belt etc, needing done.Does it have a complete service history with it? Check the moon roof for leaks and movement ,these are under built and hard to repair without complete replacement. Cats are expensive, look close at them . Mike

Thanks Michael Hanson. What do you look for specifically on the cats? I mean, if there's not rust on them, and the CEL is not on, is there anything else I can visually inspect for on them? Or any other way to further investigate them?

I just bought a 100 a couple weeks ago (fellow 80 guy). I shopped for a year and I never saw an 03+ with under 200k for $8000. Negotiate hard, especially since it needs the timing belt done but 8k is low if it has been serviced regularly and probably even if it hasn't. Remember, this is the internet. Everyone always gets the greatest deal of all time...
