Got the 80 inspected today, brakes failed. I've ordered new rotors and front calipers. I've got the pads. Everything should be in by Wednesday, so I'll be at Ft. Belvoir on Thursday to do the install if anyone is bored.
Finally got my front rotors delivered the other day. Getting ready to replace everything front and rear, rotors, pads, parking breaks pads...the works. Also, managed to fix my Suby Baja today and I feel so ahead of the game that I'm already on my second IPA

I'm just glad I have access to the shop on Belvoir. Having a lift makes it much easier.
I have to get out and try to replace the charge pipe on my X3 today, but I'm suffering from a severe lack of motivation.
I know the feeling. At some point I was entertaining the idea to start working on my 80 today, but the Elysian Space Dust convinced me to procrastinate.

I know, I should have replaced them 6 months ago, when it was noticed that they were fubar.
Well, this is something you really don't want to see in you backup camera. It might be time to take it to a professional.
It would be more funny if I didn't owe $20k on the car. Anyone know a good BMW mechanic in/near Fairfax.

I was hoping to make it to at least 80k miles before it needed serious work, 61k and here we are.
I'm in a clinic trying to sell a kidney to pay the mechanic.
He is in New York at a wedding. I texted him the link. No reply yet.
