No problem. It has become more understandable the more I do with it. I was just trying to keep from taking the ball bearings out and if that was necessary. The input shaft seal had me confused. I bought a spanner wrench to take it apart, but then realized the seal just presses out. The seal isn't seating all he way. I'm going to try cooling or heating
There’s a great tip that @CenTXFJ60 discovered.... it’s in some thread somewhere. Maybe he can speak up.

So now I just need to watch how to get the ball bearings back in
If you’d freaking watch that video he’d give you a great tip on how to do it!

Okay... Calm down . I watched it. Just drop them in and rotate the worm shaft back and forth. My wife says I don't listen either,😂
Just try and see how it goes... doesn’t say your locked in as soon as you drop them it. Practice and see what feels right.

What happens when you try to post the pic?

Is this seal in the correct direction?

It
44 balls right? Teasing, it should have been 42.
Looks like you didn’t paint... being in Florida and now after being cleaned well, the body will rust quickly. I’m in CT and I didn’t paint and kick myself because it now has a nice light overall coating of rust.
It had 44 balls. And yes I was going to paint, but it's my daily driver and I had to get back on the road asap. Plus the body rust is my problem

It drives great and no more leaks. I decided to leave the existing Teflon rings on the worm gear. Didn't want to take a chance with the oversized onesand wasn't about to pay $11 a piece for Toyota ones
