Jeff- Mopac. It is for a current Dodge Ram. On the Dodge it mounts above the rearview. Trim off 1/2 inch around the base, flip it over and voila. It points right. Take off the console, cut out for the back of the gauges and back screw it on.

Gauges and mounting plate all ordered from GlowShift. The gauges have 7 different backlight colours.

Finaly got my Mad Man in last weekend. Turned out alright, other than all the oil press fittings being wrong and the oil line that came with the kit was blocked for some reason:mad: (not even shop air @120 psi would clear) Ill have to email Dave and see what he has to say, hope it was a fluke and he hasn't sent out any other kits with NPT for oil press fittings.

man these are all kick ass.
i can't wait to buy some gauges.
though I am currently having a JOYFUL time ripping appart my dash to get my japanese stereo out.
that thing has so many wires I could run a cable to tokyo. Its so hard core that it has stuff connected to the speedo!

i personally like the mad max alot.
but having to flick switches to see different temps
i don't really like that, if they had it so you could just have all of that stuff
i would pay the money for it.

I have the same chit you do, only black faced. I keep mine in the cobalt blue, most of the rest of the colors are ghey.

Are you truly Northern?

One of the green's is close to the stock gauges. I sometimes use that. Otherwise I use blue to match my stereo. My kids like to mess with them though - I often find them purple, red and green or in one of the colour cycling modes.

I think Sheldon's vent install is awesome. I was thinking about using the two centre vents in my older FJ80 dash...but just ended up doing this instead. The dash would have been better so I don't have to look down...but it's not bothering me that much.

It's the fully enclosed plastic pod because I don't like seeing wires and gauge guts behind it. :D Before anyone points it out...the factory "cup holder" is now a junk box and I've since installed a nice tan Land Rover cup holder on the passenger side of the console. :)

i make these plates, they are aluminum and powder coated black. they mount either above or below the radio in the 70 series, fit 40, 60 series

Hey Wayne- Love that inside/outsite temp guage. Much more useful than my compass. Clean install- Question- those taps on the back of your panel- Have you had a problem with corrosion or vibration with these? I have found them rather prone to failure. Are you doing any thing special? Thanks.

Here's the gauges on the '55. I've added a volt meter as well as the pyrometer and turbo boost for the 3B diesel. The red light next to the rear heater is the water sedimenter and hidden by the steering wheel next to the tail gate glass switch is the "Wilson" switch for the glow plug operation.

Thanks- My experience is in the marine field and I have had a tough time with those. Prolly the salt air!
