Alright ladies.... I just (as in minutes ago) sold my '06 Fisher Tassajara. I now have 6 hundy to put towards a Steel framed full rigid 29er....

Any affordable suggestions?

I need a 21" frame or larger. If I can find a redline tomorrow, I'm buying..... all my eggs are kind of in that basket. The Haro Mary is nice, but too small. Don't want aluminum, so that kills all the big manufacturers....

What say ye, bikers of mud? Any suggestions??

I've been riding a 1972 Puegot that I have set up for single speed. This Friday I am renting a Santa Cruz to take down Downieville. I have a feeling I will be selling something to buy said Santa Cruz.

I've always wanted an Inbred. However, they are not selling full bikes anymore nor do they currently have a US distributor....

I'm looking at the Haro Mary, Raleigh XXIX, the GT Peace9er, Kona Unit, and now the KHS, I guess.

The biggest determining factor will probably be which one of these can I find in a XL frame this close to the end of the model year. :hhmm:

I heart my OnOne Inbred--sorry. The Kona might be cool, too.

Oh, and here's the Kona Hei Hei 2-9 I just built a few weeks ago. Me likey.

I love the name "Karate Monkey" but haven't been impressed with the frame. There's a tread on MTBR right now about busted Juice frames.... Not familiarr with the Vassago and have seen the Voodoo name before. I'll check them out. Thanks. Trying to keep it cheap. 1k is the upper limit, but would really like to stay in the 6-700 range until I determine if SS and 29er is for me.

The bike I spent most of time riding:

The bike I should have taken out more often:

The road bike is an 10 years old Trek 2300 but very comfy on long road ride:

I remembered back then when I started biking it was all about cool latest bikes...Now it's all about riding...The bike just disappears underneath you.

I've had my Monocog for a few years and it is a cool bike. I got rid of the stock Redline bars and went with some cool low rise Redline BMX bars for retro cool and higher grip height. The higher grips are more comfy and levels out the ride for talls guys like me.

Alright... I just ordered my new ride.

Redline D440

Decided that 1x8 was a safer play than a single speed. I'm pumped. The reviews on the bike are awesome. I think I'm getting a lot of bang for the buck.

Should be at the semi-local (60 miles away) bike shop in 4 to 5 business days. I was hoping to have something to ride this weekend, but ohhh well. It'll make the following weekend that much more badass.

don't have a pic with me but my daily ride is a '06 Specialized Hardrock...Tektro mech. discs, SRAM X.7 drive train, and a s***ty RST 80mm fork...soon to be replaced by a Fox Talas, and some Avid Juicy 7's :grinpimp:

Gonna try Downieville twice this Friday. I will sleep good that night.

no pics..

Daily Driver:

ghetto-rigged SS road bike bike built off a ~1990 trek 1000, currently freewheel SS, 42:12 (yes, that's 3.5:1 - my commute is flat), rattle-canned matte black

Dirt Ride:

'05 GF Tassajara, stock except the brake levers and soon to be a new wheelset, my rear keeps disintegrating on me during rides (spokes continually snappping).

Sounds like my kind of bike!

SS's rock!

I didn't see any one else post up a Marin so I will. Mine is a Hawk Hill, decent bike for the money and a good solid ride. Sorry no pics at the time.
