Gave old gal a couple overdue upgrades

I need to update again...this is my last post from 2014: Post up what you pedal

Since then, I have been enjoying my Trek Superfly hardtail 29er. I got a great deal on a used De Rosa Super King SR 888 with Campagnolo Record 11 speed. I took the Ultegra 10sp group off my 90's Kestrel 200SC and put it on my 90's Bianchi Axis. I sold the Capagnolo 8-speed Racing Triple/Chorus group on ebay and will by selling my Kestrel 200SC frame.

When the dust settles I'll have three bikes: Trek Superfly, Bianchi Axis and De Rosa Super king.

S-Works Tarmac Pro.
It is much more of a sophisticated bike than I am a rider.
Still love riding even though getting older!

When I ride with the younger guys the second picture is how I feel.
Will never give up though!

Nice... Looks like it may be a slightly older one, HTA looks a bit steeper than now. I had my eyes set on getting a RocketMAX but just could never pull the trigger. Those brits definitely know how to do steel bikes!

Update..
- finally used my 52v 24ah ebike battery with its 110v 1500 w sine wave inverter.. :) for camping
- picked up some new bits..vintage camping trailer.. Trailer mounted bike rack... old school canvas bike rack cover...
Got road slicks on her now.. on a good day gets 60 mile range at 25mph average.. the slicks work real nice on the beach..

Getting back into mountain biking after 8yrs off. Had a pretty bad crash in 2011. Tibia and femur met each other hard, destroying my cartilage. The surgeon did the best he could to reshape what was left, but fast forward to present time, I now need a medial knee replacement. Being only 40, I'm too young for a replacement. He recommended modifying my lifestyle to lower impact activities, and to wear a unloader knee brace. Unfortunately that meant a career change, too. Bummed, but I take it as a blessing in disguise.

Anyway, picked up a used Intense Spider 275C. Damn! Things changed in 8yrs. Geometry, 1x12 gears, big fat 27.5" tires.... The weight is amazing, too. My old Banshee Spitfire came in at almost 32 lbs. My new bike is just over 27lbs. Lots of carbon...

First ride done, lots of adjustment stops but damn this thing is a BEAST!!! 150/145 travel currently, when I swap out the junk Yari I will increase front travel to 160 for a little more angle. Now suspension tuning is on task..
