so I understand that due to the high fever for toyota series 70 , in USA you transplant the body of the 70 on an chassis of 80 .
does the body fit ? or you need major modifications ?

Test drive as in... it's for sale??

It's gotta be the one that was in the Maltec booth at overland Expo. If so, yes, it's for sale, and it's an extremely nice truck, but you better brace yourself when they tell you the price. lol...

Maltec uses a custom frame jig set up. The 80 chassis is matched to the wheelbase and new mounts for the body are made. The modified chassis is blasted and powder coated then fitted with a brand NEW drivetrain.

The troopy is currently available with a US title, Colorado plates, and insurance. Takes an hour at DMV for paperwork transfer to the new owner. Currently in Colorado on its way to Arizona, then to the NW Overland Rally unless it sold prior.

If the interior weren't built out as it is and it was a 1HD instead of 1HZ, this would be hard to pass up. I'd like a 2nd row bench. Price seems right on given the interior build out, pop top and essentially brand new drivetrain/chassis. It's on par with a ballpark estimate I got for a Troopy build from a reputable shop here in the states. Interested to see how Maltec is getting these imported.

Can you please connect me with details for seller?

I'd sell both kidneys for this!

Haha! Highest price I've seen for kidneys is about $10k a piece. Not going to be enough. Besides, if you sell both of them, you'll need dialysis, which will really eat into your Landcruiser driving time. You're gonna need a plan B. Lol.....

Idk... I think on the black market In the US he could fetch close to 200k a pop. Though, I wouldn’t sacrifice my kidneys for a cruiser; half of my liver is a thought.... 🤔
