This part was pretty crazy. When we went to lift the old tub off of the frame, we thought for a minute that it was still hooked up in the middle. Turns out that without the roof, the tub had no structural integrity whatsoever. If someone would have stood in the middle when it was up on the lift like this, it would have folded right in half. Pretty crazy that I was driving this around!

Pulling into the gas station in Raeford, I found out three key pieces of information. First, the speedo cable was laying on top of the cat, so that got hooked up. Second, found that the filler neck vent tube was disconnected, so that got hooked up amist a shower of gasoline. Third, it was REALLY COLD without weatherstripping:hillbilly: It was great to drive her home with her new body.

THANKS AGAIN everyone who came! You guys are the best *tear*.

All those pictures and most of the comments are about my ass.... i'm starting to think you all are gay :flipoff2:

theres a 60 in Beaufort that could use that top.... Are you going to sell it?

Darin is going to use it for his other 60 body.

Wow, looks great Johnny. Amazing amount of work done in a short time, well done to all the mechanics.

You happy with the Raptor and how it covered? Looks pretty white, well covered and lightly textured. Vedry cool all the way around...

I'm extremely happy with the white Raptor liner. The white is perfect and the texture is exactly what I wanted, textured, but not rough. Coverage was a bit light as I used a full 8 bottles to do the whole thing and it could probably use another bottle or two, but other than that, I couldn't be happier.

I was really impressed with the way the raptor liner looked. Not too chunky.

Seriously considering going that way with my 87 mercedes that needs a paint job badly..... just trying to figure out how it would look.

Was that safe light?

I believe so. I called two places and got the same price from both. Is there a particular place I should check?

Darin, i fould a couple tools with the RC box that Garrett was playing with. If Johnny is heading back down that way on thursday i will try to catch up with him and give them to him.

I was tired when i got home, but had a good day wrenching and some good food!!

Got the old tub stripped down and cleaned out. I then put it outside so on thursday we can cut it up and it will not take too long.

I'm surprised you were able to get out into the shop!

I've got a small list of things I forgot / like to grab off of the old body if you don't mind.

I'm heading down there on Thursday to collect the scrap steel to recycle it, so yeah, we'll meet up and I'll grab the tools from you.

AAA gives almost a $175 discount on windshields, so hopefully I can one for around $200 installed. Stay tuned...

It is completely stripped now so what did you want off of it so i can set it aside ?

Fuel filler neck
Front seat belts
Spare nuts and bolts ( can never have enough )
Kick plate trim pieces ( one for each door and one for the hatch )
Upper D pillar trim pieces
Fuse box cover
Metal covers for the rear most body mount access holes
AC stuff
What's left of the wiring harness for connectors. I love factory Toyota connectors.

Had a great time turning some wrenches with the guys. I wish we could've stayed longer. Looks like it turned out awesome!

Lookin good Johnny! but people wont believe you wheel it now :D
Gonna get sliders or bigger tires to keep that thing straight?

Congrats to everyone that was there, thats a lot of work pulled off.

Thanks for coming Allen! She did turn out pretty nice as a direct result of everyone's help. Thanks again everyone!

I was keeping what was left of the bolts for mine seeing as alot were used from my little stash i had on the cart and the wiring harness for mine.

Ok, no problem, definitely understandable. I apologize for the fasteners getting mixed up. I should have kept better track of which ones came out of my truck and which ones came out of your truck.

Other parts ok?

Thanks for the kind words sir!

Sliders are definitely going to get welded on before any good wheeling happens.
