Perfect and thanks for the quick response. That's exactly what I was thinking. That cross bar with the 4 bolts and washers will definitely be enough to act as an anchor point once the full setup is put together with wood screws. 3M tape should just keep everything stable as you bounce along the trails. I'll have to figure out to countersink the washers and bolt head inside the 2x4 though. Maybe just a couple incrementally sized hole saws and a chisel? Not really sure. What did you do there?

I used a spade bit sized to fit the washer. I’d recommend going this route as it made it super quick and easy.

It's been a while since I've posted an update so I'll just list what I've done and photo dump what I have:

- Wilco Hitchgate Offset hitch tire carrier

Interior:
- Land Shark Outfitters table add-on for the drawers
- ScanGauge II trip monitor
- ROAM Adventure 6.5' awning w/ awning room

Hi Love your build, ont know that i disagree with any of it.
How are the Nokian Tires in the winter mountains? Im thinking of doing exactly the same albeit with new Nokian r5 that are just coming out.
