So new year is here and is time for new project.
Just last weekend i picked up a used and abused mini toy chassis from my friend for good price.
This will be a slow build because it will be on budget, like any other project.
I've ben wheeling my fj40 for around 6 years and want to keep it looking like an fj40 so i got this junk to wheel the crap out of it in the woods.

i borrowed my brothers Cherokee aka"red dragon" to tow the chassis from Massachusetts back to good old CT.

took out the seats to dry them out since they were covered in ice and painted the links today

got an fj40 axle from Gary in PA saturday, took it apart and doing cut and turn.

YES! It's always cool seeing your 40 wheel at CMCC so I can't wait to see how well this buggy will perform!
 
i hope it will be ready by July, right now i'm waiting for front 3 link brackets to show up, front axle is ready to go under my buggy.

well pull my buggy into the garage last weekend and started front axle install.

had to make my own axle link brackets, its a trail gear font 3 link set up that i got together with the frame, but my friend kept the axle with the brackets.

installed my tire for measurements.

picked op a set of Sway Away 16" air shocks yesterday from a friend, and tack welded my track bar bracket.

have ben working on this junk almost every day now and this is the progress: the engine is in, rear links and axle in, dual transfer cases in,seats in, fuel cell in, new dash in, brake lines,

no build thread on 40. haven't done any work on it since last summer.

couple weeks back i installed the mount for double ended hydro ram, now waiting for monry to get some more steering parts from PSC.

my brother just got some pitbull tires for his 40, so trying them on on the buggy, perfect fit.

thanks man. there is still a lot of work left on it, mostly the most expensive parts like gears, lockers, steering, front winch, Longfields.
