got it, thanks!

Tried several options in mine….. I like the cd slot mount best for my needs…..whatever cd I have in there still works too. Not an option I guess if you actually use the disc player. It fits my wireless charger clamp mount just perfectly.

So I use this one Steelie® Squeeze® Dash Kit - https://niteize.com/steelie-squeeze-dash-kit and have it stuck right on top of my vent so my phone doesn't impede air flow. Here in Texas we need all the AC vent we can get in the summer! They must have updated the squeeze-clamp as I've had mine for a couple years. Only thing I've had to do to it was replace the double-sided tape that held it on. Hope this helps!

The problem with these mounts are:

1. Too low. Not in line of sight. You have to look either down or too far to the right or both.

2. You push it into dash seams. No thanks. That is how rattles are made or damage plastics. And in one review, on the newer LC, pushing it in creates large gap!

For me I use navigation a lot. Line of sight is #1 priority. Safety.

Double sided tape. In the heat or cold, for me, it always fail at the wrong time. Causing my expensive phone to fall at the wrong time while driving and damaging either dash below or phone.

Also mounting it that high means that your phone is directly exposed to sun. Drive that for an hour or two in either early morning or late afternoon while using navigation/music and your phone will over heat. Yeah you get more airflow but your navigation just shutdown OR your screen dims so much that it is useless.

This is why AC vent mount is the best. You can navigate for hours and hours without a hiccup. And I have zero issue with AC even in 110+ temp bc LC air conditioner is strong as heck.

I used the quadlock. Was very sturdy and by far the best one I’ve used. The MagSafe charging was a bonus.

To each his own. I never had a catastrophic failure with double sided tape. It eventually (after a year) started peeling on one side so I replaced it. If my phone ever felt hot-hot I just slid it down a bit to catch the top of the A/C. Never once overheated. That’s my experience but yours may differ.

Got my phone mount from a company called Thabt based in GCC, it’s the most OEM solution I found for the 200/LX series and a bunch of other car models. They sell a trim that you attached to the passenger footwell side and from there screw in any mount you like , I choose a ball mount receiver and installed my trusty MagSafe phone mount, its so strong that it holds my pixel 8 which obviously not MagSafe compatible

is there a website to order from?

I have this mount on the left side of the window and routed the cable under the steering wheel. Holds super sturd on amd offroad and never had a problem with it holding my 14 Pro Max.

And the price is also pretty okish.

I use something similar but with this disc mount, works well Even though the dash isn't flat

As @Madtiger mentioned, having a phone mount so far out of line of sight is a non-starter. I don’t know if others use use the LC nav system and therefore wouldn’t need to access the phone visually for directions but I need it closer to my visual field.

I’ve been using a 67 designs suction cup mount. The suction cup wouldn’t stick to the textured dash, so I picked up a cheap round base for suction cups on Amazon. The pump on the suction cup keeps a really solid grip and I can move it other places as need. Also the joints on the 67 designs mount are really stable and don’t move unless you want them too

@Markuson has some really clever stuff using a ram mount on one of the bolts on his a-pillar grab handle. Probably worth checking out his navigation and radio posts.
