It shouldn't be this difficult to find a good place to hold an iPhone. My windshield suction mount falls off when the arm is extended to where it's needed.

So I've been reduced to this.

Where are you mounting your phone in your 200?

@nakman ?

Currently, I'm using a proclip mount. Planning to install a Gamiviti dashboard mount from @nakman with two magsafe-compatible peak design mounts and a garmin inreach mount when I do my big build this winter.

How do you like the ProClip? I was thinking of ordering one

It’s been great, I’ve run them in multiple cars for years, had this one in my 200 for two years

Thank you kindly. I will order it up, then.
One thing to consider, if you want to use the MagSafe mount, it isn’t strong enough for any kind of off road driving. This is why I’m switching to the peak design MagSafe mount, stronger magnets.

Nope— it will be an even stronger connection if you use a peak design case with it, but it works with no case or with any MagSafe compatible case

(I’m team no-case, my phone raw dogs it)

AC vent is the best.

I just put a Quad Lock on last week. It's the magnetized version (no need to twist-lock it on) and it charges automatically. No more charge cables to fuss with! Super happy with it so far.

do you need anything on your phone to hook on to that?

@ryanCA
When I’ve got an excuse to take the head unit back out I’ll wire the charge cable in behind the dash.

I’ve had good luck with the Gemini phone mount by CravenSpeed. It fits in one of the small switch delete plates either to the right or left of the steering wheel. The arm is bendable and you can position it out of the way of the wiper or signal selector depending on if you choose to the right or left of the steering column. You slide a magnet into your phone case and there is the corresponding magnet at the head of the mount which can rotate for easy viewing. It doesn’t contain a charger so I keep one in the waste of space in front of the gear shift. Pretty stable. I’ve had to retighten once after using for 4 years or so.
Hope it helps.
