About 2 months ago I'm minding my own business (mostly) reading a popular 4x4 magazine and the writer says that the best Toy 4x4 ever built is the FJ80 which could be had with factory diff locks at both ends. I'm like "that's right an 85 pickup ... wait minute, WHAT? SOLID AXLES? DIFF LOCKS? WTF!!!" I had no idea. So now I have a 95 FZJ80 in red with lockers. And it came with running boards and a damage multiplier at no extra cost (both of which are for sale as of now). The last Land Cruiser I ever rode in was my brothers mid 70's FJ40 which he bought new. That was how I got turned on to wheeling and I've been at it ever since. (He rolled that truck off a mountain side in the mid 80's and left it upside down against a tree in the woods totalled - nobody was hurt.) While my pickup will always have a place in my heart, this FZJ has kicked its way to the front of the line just since I bought it last week. Aw man, I'm so happy (teary eyes). Here it is:

Welcome dude! clean rig, now go get it dirty :D

Congrats!!! welcome to the ranks. I read that article as well and wondered if it would turn anyone on to the 80's, and low and behold it did. Just another great 80 saved from suburbia :flipoff2:

welcome, all the way from miami

A warm mud welcome to you there...

:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Super sweet rig! My father's first 80 was the same color. Super sweet!

Permission Granted! :flipoff2:

Welcome. Was that the truck that was on 285 with a for sale sign?

Spend some time reading the FAQ for the 80's/LX450 above and read carefully the section on why you should get rid of that brush guard (Damage Multiplier)

Nice looking truck.

Also, we have a local club that meets at Stevenson Toyota 1st weds of everymonth (Tonight) thats at west 6th Ave near Golden, so not to far for you. Come meet some other cruiser heads. Starts at 7-7:15 in the parking lot with the meeting at 7:30 followed by beers afterwards.

:flipoff2: welcome aboard!! :flipoff2:

now start modding, soldier!!

Congrats on the new rig  I have always liked that red,

smart move,

and of course :flipoff2:

Great color!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Thanks for the warm welcome. I knew I could count on you guys.

Romer: Yep, it's the one that was in Pine Junction. I can't make the meeting tonight, but I'm on for next month. I know where Stevenson is (Colorado Native and all) Also, I already know about the damage multiplier (been lurking for about a month here while acquiring this fine piece of equipment). Its coming off this weekend along with the running boards.

Anyway, the :censor: PO thrashed the inside, so I had it detailed already. Still smells like ass in there. So the first thing is gonna be deodorizing (suggestions would be appreciated), seat covers and a wheelskin to cover the damage. Oh ya, then there's the white latex paint chips all over the outside from the PO painting "For Sale" in housepaint on all the windows. Bastidges.

Then it'll be sliders and bumpers (probably from Slee since he's about 45 miles away from me - no shipping - sweet). Then siped BFG MTs if the new Nokian Vatiiva's on it ever wear out.

As a wise man once said, "Let the spending begin."

And I promise I'll try really hard not to double post anymore pictures. ;)
