The order is fine, I would still like to see a sample of the olive drab canvas. Is there one posted some where I missed?
Are you going to set up a paypal account for payment or do we mail it to you?( I would pay the Paypal fee)
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
I do not have pictures of the Olive Green. Last one I saw was on a cruiser sold in EBAY maybe one or two years ago. If anyone reading this has a picture, please post it.
I was thinking about collecting money orders from everyone and depositing in bank in "escrow". It gives me a greater sense of security knowing the money is in my control.
I would ask Eshan to accept one half of the order's $$ value up front, and the other half upon the arrival of the order to the USA intact.
I want to warn everyone that there are potential pitfalls bringing the order into the USA that could increase the cost. Therefore, the amounts I collect will have to include additional contingency dollars so I am not left holding the bag. I would reimburse the buyers any such funds not spent.
Below is an account of someone else's experience who has done the group order twice:

Re: Ehsan's shipment
This what I would do if I had to do it again.
Ask Ehsan if you can pack the tops in 18X18 squares. This will be easier to ship at your end. He will label everthing. Keep a list on paper and all also keep the envelopes people send money in. Ask the person sending money to write down email addresses, phone numbers and what they want. year of land cruiser, will it have a tailgate? color of top.....remember it took me a year and half to get our stuff. One [buyer] sold off there cruiser and another forgot exactly what he ordered. You need these phone numbers on the shiping lables as well. I opened an account on DHL. Let everyknow you are not a business.
I think 10 -11 tops is about right. Make sure you get the shipping company name sending the tops [from Pakistan] and they should give you a waybill or some paper indicating you are the owner. When you go to [USA] Customs they will want to know the value of the shipment. ....Ehsan wrote down on the invoice the value of the tops and that is what I gave them. Customs will tell you if it hits a certian dollar limit you will not be able to claim the shipment, a broker will have to do it for you. They charge a fee and warehouse will charge a fee and U.S.A will want their cut.
What I did the second time was, explain to them that I'm not a business and I'm not doing this for a profit. I gave them a list of the owners' tops and let them know the tops had names on them and if they could with due respect not to mix them up while inspecting. To my surprise they did not make a mess. You may not pay tax if all goes well but don't push your luck.
If anyone is ordering half doors but with out upper halfs make sure you get them with option that if for some reason you want to install them at a later date you can. Don't get the cup holder unless he sends you a pic. I think the cup holders he send were not all that great. "
Frankly, I am not going to put myself in a position to have to explain to Customs people anything I cannot support with documentation. I will ask around with some brokers a price estimate to have them claim the shipment if in the end it will make things smoother for everyone at a permissible cost.
Any comments from members of the current buyer's group will be appreciated.
