American made tops FTW. I've personally seen the quality; fit; durability and finish; top notch.

Lets keep the money on this side of the ocean !

Here are a few pictures, the first is the top fitted with all the slack out of the original bows as they came from Eshan, as you can see they are 3 to 4 INCHES short, Eshan can you see it? I also had to shorten the rrear bow by an inch and a quarter. The next is how I had to modify the side rails to make it fit, the third is a windshield piece I had to fab because I needed more from the front as well but it caused the sides to pull out at the windshield, but I have no hardtop so I had to make do, if this was ever fitted to a cruiser I call BS, I emailed you about this and posted the problem on the board and NEVER heard for you again until I thought of buying another because I have a friend here that has one that fits. Cheers, Larry
Ok.. Firstly.. Your email never made it to my inbox (I have searched through my 5000+ mails but cant find it. What email did you send it from. PM me and I will look into it). It may have gotten into the spam folder (Yahoo has some problem with spam filters. I regularly get mails filtered as spam which should be in my inbox).
That being said.. I searched for your thread here in mud and found it.. Here is the link..

My reply to you on 04-14-07, 05:41 PM was
Can you post a picture of how you have installed the channel? There are a few areas where you can correct the fitting. Firstly, the top should not be overhanging this much. Secondly there is some adjustment in the rear corners and behind the door where you can shorten the bows to a certain extent. Your problem, however is with the windshield channel fitting.
Please post pics
Ehsan
and your immediate reply (15 minutes after that)
I think I solved the problem, just rolled the channel, nice work Eshan, much better than I expected, your guy's are craftsmen. Larry
And the picture..

The tread goes on with more pics from you and some from me also. I admit that I did not get the measurements for you as I lost track.
About the fitment.. There are a few areas where one can work (I mentioned in the thread above) There also may be a slight problem with the angle of the windshield on your vehicle.
The tops are tested for fitment before sending them . Each top is made from a template and each top is the same size. If your top was shorted, all tops in your group or the tops made in the same time frame would have the same problem. That being said.. I do admit that there is a chance of error on our part offcoarse. If you can convince me by pictures / measurements then I will send you a free replacement even now. This is an important issue and does require a new thread appropriately titled so everyone on the board can see.
I apologize if any of the above has offended you in any way.. I am not trying to get back.. Just trying to understand the issues andd get stuff straight for myself and others here.
Thanks
Ehsan

Crying shame nowadays you can't voice an honest first-hand experience about a product without getting slammed for an opinion.

Let me reiterate "quality, fit, craftsmanship, etc......."

Troll does not leave; troll lurks.

As the one who started this thread, I don't recall asking for your opinion on the difference in quality of the two tops. You don't own either top so how is your opinion first hand? You don't even own a Land Cruiser. What value are you adding to this thread?

No you didn't ask for my opinion; and correct I don't own either top or a LC.

If I did still have my 40; I would be the first on the list to get the tops on the cusp of being produced over here. I have seen the prototype for the top (hands-on) and would have bought it on the spot. Granted I have only seen the Paki top in photographs and this one in person. But comparing image to image........well you obviously know my choice.

Thats the thing about opinions; everyone is entitled to them.

As far as adding value to the thread; I'm just voicing my thoughts on the poll; and letting others know why I polled the way I did.

Eshan, The bottom line is when you buy something from Pakistan there are risks, I accepted those, I admire you as a business man I have tried to be supportive, but when the source is so far away there is no customer service, that is why having these stocked here is a great idea. Then there may be solutions available. I tried another of your tops on my cruiser that belongs to a friend here it fit like a glove, the measurements were diffieren't than mine. I have made mine fit with a lot of work, I only suggest that I would not buy another, I would rather buy one of the others offered or make my own, then it's a custom fit, I still admire the craftsmanship of your workers, maybe one had a bad hair day when the measured mine and I got the luck of the draw, I asked for the dimensions and recieved none. I did get them from the other guy here and they are differen't. I wish you the best but I have no desire to continue this on this forum. I am NOT trying to shake you down for something new, Cheers, Larry

Why not get a real (dependable) isp mail carrier? Every good business needs one, only spammers, scammers and unsavory characters use Yahoo, Hot Mail, and Juno and the likes as mail handlers ( easy to disappear I suppose) step-up! get professional! You can't use the Yahoo thing as a excuse forever you know

He's in Pakistan. Yahoo is his only reliable option. Have you seen his shop? I don't think tech support is at the end of the dirt hallway.

I just finished reading your entire thread about this issue (see link in post #44 above by Ehsan) and it appears in the end you did not respond to Ehsan's instructions on how to play with the adjustments on the bow set to make your top fit better. It was also mentioned by another ih8mudder in your thread that the problem could have been solved by trimming the length of the rear bow supports. Finally, the sides pulled out at the windshield because you used a channel piece you built and not the replica Ehsan builds.

To be fair, I did not see evidence from your thread that Ehsan ignored the problem you were having or failed to post extra photos and instructions to fix it.

Ok.. So if the other one fit, then there is some problem with the measurements.. To make it up.. Can you send me the top back via normal mail to reduce costs.. I will send you a free replacement as well as a Bikini and a Bimini top. Free of cost. No shipping either. Just let me know when you have sent it back and if you have and I will send you 3 with guaranteed fit.
Thanks

We have other possibilities. I have ordered my own domain and hosting where I will have a new email address.
