Paki soft top demand question

Just for the record.

I have owned trucks with Kayline and Best Top to compare with Ehsan"s top and there is no comparison I wouldn't have believed a soft top could be so wind proof and quiet too. The only noticable noise came from the top flapping against the two cross rails and I solved that problem with two straps on each rail sewn in by a local top maker here. Great top. Bill

Well I guess I'll have to speak up here too. Although there were some problems getting my top (none of which were Ehsan's fault) I have been very happy with it especially considering the price. The craftsmanship in the metal work is absolutely top notch and the fabric work is as good as anything I've seen here. OK, mine did fit very snug, so snug that I broke a zipper shank that I had a local guy replace for me and I intend to have the rest repaced this winter. That being said, that good fit makes it wind and water resistant. Yes, I have that noise from flapping against the bows too and will have that same local guy sew in some straps as well. All and all quality, fit, and especially craftsmanship have been second to none. Thanks Ehsan for a great product and will be in on a buy soon for some doors to match.
 
I just wanted to chime in as someone who has corresponded with Ehsan by email ,asking quetions and tech. I will have to say that each time he has been extreamly prompt in his replies to me. His info and answers to my qustions has been great. His customer service and professionalism is something to be commended and very rare to find at this level anywhere. Im baffled that someone would aske him to be more professional bye having an email address that wasnt through Yahoo. How silly could we get.

Also...I do not own one but thouroughly inspected a few at cruise moab this year. The quality is absolutly fantastic. materials and craftsmanship were top notch. The owners of the tops there were more than pleased with them.

I only hope that I can figure a way to have Ehsan make me a top for my early 1962 soft top model fj40(a model that doesnt exist in Pakistan). Of the which he said he will do given enough measurements and info, of the which I am working on.

Ehsan deserves a Thanks for what he is doing. Especially for the cost! It is a gift to the fj community.
 
I guess I'll chime in here to, as I recently received my Canvas top, with the last group order. I love it. Quality and fit are perfect. It is quiet, water tight and looks super sweet. I had OEM bows, so I can't speak to the quality of Ehsan's.

Besides the long wait... I couldn't be happier! I haven't dealt with Ehsan directly, but I am now a huge fan of his product. I can't see how an American manufacturer could produce a product at this price in small quantities. Without mass production of the thousands of units it just wouldn't be profitable, and there isn't that kind of market. Thanks for a great alternative to to ugly vinyl jeep tops!

A US based stocking, distributor would be great if just to bring down the lead times. Plus, it might make some of the more skeptical buyer's a little more comfortable if they had a local business to deal with!

are you talking $$ cost or MENTAL cost?

because both should be taken into account when getting involved in one of these group orders.. ;) ..that being said i'm sure the numbers are here repeatedly somewhere in these many Ehsan pakistan threads..

With shipping and such, the cost for a top and bow set on the last order was around 900$. You could search that thread if you want a more precise #$. Shipping should be cheaper now and the dollar is stronger than it was then, so who knows how good a deal you may make. Also, don't blow-off voyager:01's comment.
 
My hard top is pain so the best top stays on but looks like ****. Id love one of these tops but dont want to shell out my money and wait. I've seen a few go on sell after arrival and they sell fast with alot of markup. I'd spend more if I thought Id get it in a few weeks than wait months and months and months
