If you mean the red and white 55 with a large basket rack on her roof, yes, she is still up here. No "For Sale" sign but looks to be someone's put-around.

Yeah, this one-

Small wonder it's still there. I don't think the owner was very motivated to sell. :D

Basically finished now, it has a 62 series chassis (powersteer and 5 spd), 5 litre HO Mustang engine, SOA, front and rear air locks, 35 inch tyres on 16x8 rims and i also kept the thomas pto winch.
Drives niclely now.
Might try to fit Jeep Bushwacker? flares one day.

Thanks PabloCruise!!!!! Hey Jason can you post pictures of the bottom of the side rails
Thanks PabloCruise! Satanic mechanic: I will post some pics of the rocker and rear QP protection. I can also tell you that the rocker is 2x4 .188 wall rec. tube with 1 3/4 .120 wallround tube nerf bars and is supported with 1 1/2 .188 square tube in five places which are welded to the frame. The rear QP armor is 1 3/4 .120 wall round tube bottom and 1 1/4 .120 wall above. Its attached at the bumper and underneath with 1 1/2 .188 square tube in 2 places and bolted to the frame so its removable. Took some time to fab and line everything up! I am also going to put a 1/4 skid plate under the rear armor to keep the bottom from hanging up on obsticles.

pig on a diet!

hi good people!

much has happened since this pig made it as POTM in dec 09....thought i would share some pics... regards from sunny Kenya!

having put it on its side with the original body and doors, decided to lose weight and add to the articulation. so chopped off half the roof, pulled off the doors, and also changed the rear springs to the box prado rear springs with the drop out cones. so know the rear shocks extend to the full 32 inches :bounce:

these pices were at the "Robs Magic Quattro Charge" earlier this year. She just ate the rocks!

Think I saw you driving the west shore the other day. Get ahold of me if you need parts. I am in Tahoma with two 72 pigs and a ton of parts.

1971 FJ55, Polly Pig

My apologies if I've posted these on here already. I've been looking at this Pig for a while, made a deal with the seller and just had to wait to get through my wedding back in May before it officially became mine. Money has now exchanged hands, and I'm just waiting to trailer her home so the disassembly process can begin.

She's a November 1971 with approx. 90,000 original miles. I will put the original F back in her until I can decide/afford to do a motor upgrade later. I will aim for a stock restoration with either ALCAN or OME springs - depending on how they compare. It will have stock steelies and will be painted two-tone white and pollux orange - same as the photos of a west coast FJ55 that has been floating around on MUD. Look forward to starting a build thread, and getting your support and encouragement for the build!
