As of 2 days ago, I'm the proud new owner of a 1975 Piggy. Australian born...RHD, rear crank window (no crank though). I know absolutely nothing about Pigs...Pig-Noob here. From what I can tell its in pretty good shape, it drives great, and I'm looking forward to learning more about this beast!

I will probably wanna deal with the wiring a bit (everything seems to work, but its been patched and spliced often and messy). Looks like a slight seep/leak on the Oil Pump to fix, and maybe a slight seep/leak on the Water Pump as well. Also some rust on the roof & raingutters that I wanna deal with. And I need to get the rear window working so I can roll it down and use the tailgate. Those are probably the first things on the list as far as fixes.

It's strange to see a tailgate with no details for license plate or emblems etc... Is that only on crank type windows?

Wilbur

1971 Fj55 Wilbur

Vancouver, BC.;)
Hi everybody, delayed posting that I purchased Wilbur several months ago. I am new to the 55 series, usually playing around with my 60's series trucks, but finally had to have one of these.
Lots of work to be done, but my goal really is to restore Wilbur as best as possible to original stock profile. Will be picking your brains for sure!!!

Looking forward to pics of Wilbur!!! Welcome to our rusty world:D

Hi there...
Will get some pics in the next couple of weeks when I get back out to the garage...
First things first, tear down the headliner and get rid of whatever is hiding up there...That should be fun:)

Nice Pig - I like the way it flexes!

Where exactly is Po Dunk , CO?

Where exactly is Po Dunk , CO?

Well my friend, Po Dunk, CO. may be more of a philosophical destination than an actual place, but it currently resides North of Durango, CO. but South of Silverton. San Juan Mtns. Rock!

Thanks for the comment. This truck has been a lot of fun!

The San Juan's do rock! Silverton is one of my favorite places on the planet. I'm jonesing for a buffalo burger and a beer at Handlebar's right now.

Say, do you know anything about the red/white '55 that sat across the street from the Triangle Motel in Silverton for years? Last time I saw it, a "For Sale" sign was under the wiper blade with no info on it. I never could locate the owner, so I passed.

If you mean the red and white 55 with a large basket rack on her roof, yes, she is still up here. No "For Sale" sign but looks to be someone's put-around.

By the reflection on the tailgate I'm going to guess that it has been covered over by the previous owner.
