Do you know if they will work with a 2001 LX that doesn’t have running board lighting?

They will. You'll just need to check that the plug for the running boards is still there. Even though yours doesn't have lights, it still has the plug and all the wiring. Look for the plugs coming down from underneath the front driver and passender side foot wells.
I can provide the factory plugs that you can crimp onto this set to make them plug and play.

Hahah I was assuming something similar - $10 a piece I would easily take a handful.
The original price was around $120 if I remember correctly? So is this $130 shipped? Comes with plugs and plates?
Is there anyway to get a version 1? Correct me if I’m wrong but on the version 1 the lights came on with the unlock button correct? I noticed that the description on version 2 states that it only turns on with the doors. Maybe I misunderstood.
I prefer the version 1 for my needs if this is the case - is that possible?

Disregard - I see your comments now on some models that is the case. I have an 06 so mine should still turn on via key fob. I’ll pre order a v2 then thanks!

Yes they do. Check out V.2-100 Series Land Cruiser Rock Lights. I installed them on my ‘00 LC and they are fantastic!

Yup they work, but take more work to install. I made it as easy as possible though. I'm making each set to order, so that's why there's a few week lead time. Unfortunately each set takes me a long time to make.

I'm discontinuing these lights to focus on my other projects. I had some inventory left that I never assembled, but did over the weekend.
I'm selling the last 3 sets of the LX plug and play kits at a liquidation/4th of July special of $140 as opposed to the original $175.
Get them before they are gone as I will likely never make them again!

Any chance you have another set stored somewhere? I'm buying a LX this week and this was one if the first things I was going to do.... Looks like an awesome product!
So I’m at a loss. I’m getting 12 amps on the drive side and nothing comes on. 4-5 in the passenger side. Nothing. What am I missing? Also doesn’t help that my key fob stopped working. It’ll start the car but will not unlock or lock remotely!?

Hmm. Do you mean volts? If not, measure voltage at each plug. I had a similar issue when I had a short in an experimental relay. Turned out to be one of the fuses in the pass side footwell.
Grab a 9v battery and a couple peices of wire and make sure the lights are working. I tested every set in the last batch, but could have had an issue when being packed or shipped.
