$44,000

Great rig for Overland expeditions with all the accessories you would need to explore for weeks at a time. The Toyota Turbo Diesel engine swap upgrades the power from the stock engine without sacrificing durability and the swap was done very well. Body is in great condition along with the interior.

We did not build the truck and if we had the money we would keep it. The owner is a friend of ours and, unfortunately, she had an accident and can no longer do what she wanted to do with the vehicle. She had built it to drive from Alaska to South America.

The owner has hired us to tune up, clean, and detail the vehicle so here is all the details!

Just an Fyi - original hdj's in Canada are going anywhere from $10k-20k with sub 100km ones in the low $20s. check vancouver craigs for some comparitive pricing if thats helpful for her to garner a sale. or see hdj below this one sold for $6500us.

1990-1991s are officially legal to import and as such the market has reflected this.

I'm sorry I messed up the Link. I know how to fix it, I fixed it on Pirate 4x4. But I still have a "Noobie" account so I can't edit this post.

ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED for the pictures and video go to www.rsoperformance.com - its on the landing page you can't miss it.

Wow. Clean 80, but that price is way out

GLWS, dude

A LHD 80 with a Toyota Diesel driveline is worth signifigantly more than a HDJ81 IMO. Either way, is certainly not an apples to apples comparison. Not everyone wants a RHD vehicle either.

Add all that stuff to a clean imported HDJ81 and you better pull out your wallet. It adds up quick. Believe me, I know first hand.

I don't think anyone is hating. From what i can tell, most people are trying to help. All i did was go to the youtube page and copy that link directly on to the thread. (it's kind of odd that the website is blocked by antivirus software, but problem fixed). Others have admired the rig, but pointed out that relative to what is on this site etc, seller might be high...on price. Again if they are selling for someone, that would be helpful. Finally, if they didn't do the work (and even went so far as to say it was too much), if someone was going to spend that kind of money, probably be interested in who did do the work. It all adds up to constructively criticizing the way it is being sold, and giving pointers on how to help. Personally i would spellcheck the graphics in the video, but i am probably the only one who wouldn't purchase from someone who couldn't spell mileage. And way, long response, but just characterizing as people hating is a huge misrepresentation, again, that's all in my opinion. Everyone get's their own
