Can anyone else confirm that you *CANNOT* use the OEM front flaps with these sliders? I just read through the thread, one person commented you can't but would like to confirm that.

Also, those of you who painted with a rattle can, are you happy with performance? I am worried that a simple spray paint will leave the sliders too slippery to be used as steps in wet conditions. I'm in PA, lots of rain and ice and snow and for every time my slider is used to pivot against a rock or tree, it'll be used 200 times as a step by my wife and kids :)

I'm debating b/w using spray paint.... maybe rustoleum hammered finish? Will that have enough texture? http://reviews.homebase.co.uk/1494-en_gb/714048/reviews.htm

Or.... having them powder coated with a texture semi gloss black that will match my BIOR rear bumper. The PC will be about $200 more expensive, so I'd like to try rattle canning first.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you have front flaps? If so you can see that any slider (slee bior wk etc.) that covers all the rocker panel wouldn't fit unless you cut into he flap. Specifically the portion that runs back along the rocker panel.

You could use the duplicolor bed liner in a spray can... :meh:

Looks like it would be tight at best.

I've had the MT sliders for years and they do a great job of sheltering the side of the vehicle. It wasn't until I went to 1" spacers that I started seeing mud on the side of the rig.

Okay guys, thanks for the input. Looks like I'll cancel my order for the front mudflaps.

Any input on painted versus texture paint versus powder coat?

If it's similar to the 80 series MT slider PC, it is a tough coating and won't rub off with constant entry and exiting utilizing the steps
