Nice camp spot at Davis Mtn!
I like dispersed camping in NF land - usually no one around for miles. You can do the same at Big Bend NP, if you ever make it down there.

random update.
the renogy solar controller shyt the bed.
it was somehow activating the battery select button by itself.
luckily we were in one place long enough to get some stuff shipped to us.
updated to a Morningstar mppt unit.
by some stroke of luck, it hit the same holes.
after several emails, renogy is going to warranty their unit. that really doesn't do me any good on the road.
when i get home I'll have a new one available if anyone is wanting to setup a simple system.

we did a little over 6k miles round trip. truck pulled down 11-15mpg, uncorrected.
nothing fell off. the only fails were the solar controller and the fridge cord got cut in the slide.
totally forgot about the windshield leaking like a sieve.
the cord was entirely my fault. I'd moved some stuff and cut a zip tie for some more slack. which obviously slacked right into the slide. either way easy fix.
the tire carrier needs some work, still.
the trooper today mentioned the plate issue again.
it would definitely be nice to have a back up camera with the tire hanging out and all the shyt blocking the rear windows.
the Coopers are still undoubtedly my favorite tire. they still feel awesome even after 6k straight highway. i don't see any extreme wear. obviously they are showing, but will get rotated again in the next few days. still on the original balance. i ran them at 35F/40R.(psi)
i did rotate and oil change in Louisiana.
i will give it a good looking over and report any problems i find.
