Picked up the tent from academy. Put it up this morning to find out it was previously used. Someone got it dirty before I had a chance too.

Seriously though, I think we should get a list of who is bringing what. I don't have cooking stuff and have managed to own an ARB Fridge for two years yet never tried it out. No straps. My cooler will hold ice for most of the first day... So if it's cool with everyone, I will bring Cheetos, Doritos, and buns (burger and/or dog, just need to know).

That was Marshall that cooked the pork butts. Those did turn out great probably the best pulled pork I have had to date.

We plan on having lunch after courthouse falls in the parking lot. I'd think it would be safe to say 10-11 would be a good time to be there. We would probably leave by 12 at the latest to head up to black balsam. I'd say be at Black Balsam at 12. Might be 1 before we get there. It's only 30min at the most from Courthouse falls.

Yep, that's the place. When you get to the end of the parking lot, you go through the fence and continue on the trail. The bald is a few miles in to the trail. Not quite at the end, but there will be a small sign nearby.

As shared before, have to travel til late Friday evening so will look to join up on Saturday most likely with Mike K & Connor Sweeney! Hey i'm here, just don't check in here too much. Sorry about that.

I haven't seen this trip planned... this is the first i've read of it.
 
I got my steering box in and everything put back together after work tonight. Need to finish bleeding it tomorrow. It's too dark out now. Also, I fired her up after the first quart of fluid and when I went to shut it down it kept running even with the key out of the ignition. I'm thinking I knocked a wire loose somewhere? Will inspect more tomorrow. Any ideas for starting points before I trouble shoot tomorrow afternoon?

My first thought is the alternator, but I don't think I knocked anything loose there. We'll see tomorrow.

Had you removed your battery and tray like I had done when I rebuilt my steering? If so, then I'd bet you have something going on with the battery/fusible link/something there...

I didn't pull the battery tray, but I did put a new terminal on the other day. I have spare fusible links so I'll check that tomorrow. If the link was bad though, I'd think it wouldn't start?

I was just wondering if you jumpered something incorrectly, kinda thing. You're correct, those links would make it not start, but sometimes, folks remove those all-together and crazy things happen. You putting a new clamp on would be a place to start.

I looked this morning and there is a broken wire in harness on top of the alternator. I'm going to investigate more tonight.

Man, this is the most stressed out time crunch I've ever had for a trip. Got a new battery today too. I hope I can get this sorted tonight.
